Like in TRVMP for example. Shit's really funny but what's the origin and meaning of this? Is it from sharty?
 
Latin only had V and not U, so Roman Empire inscriptions feature V where U would be. The memes copy that aesthetic.
Apparently they just didn't distinguish between v and u (until some point) and thus only used the letter v, making it somewhat context sensitive of how its pronounced, as I gather. Weird sandal midgets :thinking:
