Additionally the "making it their entire personality" part can already be observed in troons when they troon out.

I got to the part where I was pushed to the elevator shaft, stopped playing for the evening and lost interest afterwards. The whole item juggling made me not want to return to play it, the devs should had at least make the plot items not take inventory slots. And I don't care it works for some gay lore snippet.

That's where I stopped playing first time around but I eventually finished it and enjoyed it a lot more second attempt.

If you ever wanna finish my advice is to only carry one weapon without any spare ammo, combat is basically optional aside from a few set pieces/bosses.

thought I would add a few points, but generally speaking (from what I can tell), people defending the devs and stating this is just the community is... idiotic. I believe creation and creator can be detached, however as OP has shown, when the people curating this space and even the creator engage in the usual neoliberal hivemind psychosis of politik and "muh fascism/muh punk/muh lesbians" etc, it is usually a recipe for disaster. I remembered this game existing and, deciding to look it up, all I get is 2 hour video essays and "MUH LESBIANS AWESOME!". Even simplified videos, are still incredibly long. Could be nowadays brevity is simply dying out, but it does not provide a good look for people who wish to learn more. These people curate the space, and even if I am wrong about the dev supporting these ideologues and screeds from mad men... the sin of inaction is as great as action.

Overall I found the story to be a bit pretentious but was at least easy to understand.

It was also one of those indies that gave people desperate for survival horror a bit of a kick which gave it a large initial boost. The moment it became clear it was a lesbian game though it was over for the game in terms of public consciousness. Once the Yuri fag troons sink their teeth in it's game over.

I liked the game, but I positively hate all the "Sesbian Lex!" shit that the "fandom" (who by and large haven't even actually played the fucking game!) posts about.

I know I am not the first or only one to have said it, but the "lesbian" part of the game is utterly inconsequential and cosmetic. The devs could have just swapped Elster's place in the story with Adler's, so it's instead about a tall, handsome android dude trying to rescue his human girlfriend, and the story beats wouldn't actually change in any meaningful way. Eusan would still be Maoist China mixed with Stalinist-era East Germany in all the worst ways, Human life would still be held cheap, and Elster's Adler's romance with Arianne would be no less tragic and heartbreaking.

This is crazy to me, but of course a community of terminally online tranny sex pests would complexify a discord server to the point of madness, with rules upon rules and mod procedures and whatnot. The SIGNALIS fandom is a highly sexualised and sex-obsessed community, (and absolutely RIDDLED with troons, who dominate the upper echelons in the instance of this server). Which is a shame, because I really like the game. The lesbian thing barely features, isn't in your face and isn't the central point of SIGNALIS, something the loudest, most obnoxious fans gaslights everyone else about.

That's funny. I stopped at the exact same point, but I'm thinking about returning to it to see if it gets better and give it a fair shake since it's short. I was hoping it would be scarier than it is and the setting is okay but not really that amazing. I don't dislike the game but it didn't suck me in, either.

There was an update last year that made the flashlight and eidetic modules not take up inventory space by default, plus a toggleable option to increase the total inventory slots from 6 to 8. May not sound like much, but it makes the inventory management a lot less annoying than it was on release.

It never really clicked for me that Yuri could be a troon since the only context for that name that I had was Yuri Gagarin. Fail troon name i guess.
