I worded my first post terribly but I pretty much agree with you. When I say really trans, I mean people like Kevin Gibes or Erin Reed whom not only have gone through the whole destructive process but they are so indoctrinated that being trans is essentially their whole personality.

I've seen mentally ill people who are just calling themselves trans to either belong to some group because they are lonely or because it's the trendy term. They are still sick but the ones I've mentioned live a completely different reality.

I don't think "trans" is a real thing or a disease to be diagnosticated, I worded that terribly on my first post.

I’ve been in similar circles next to troons off and on since 2019 and I can safely say in that entire time out of hundreds of troons I’ve seen, I found a whopping two of them passable/attractive. What are you kiwis doing in life where you always find yourselves surrounded by tons of troons? I've encountered a whopping one troon and one pooner in my entire life and one was a 3 minute encounter at jimmy johns, the other I worked with so no choice. It's tough to buy this narrative of : oh im not into troons and in fact hate them as people and bust on them on KF yet I also hang in troon circles.

Saw a few posts about people making insane claims that anywhere from ~2k-4.5k people had committed suicide after the election, many of them trans. Anyone pulling the ~2k number is probably referencing https://www.worldometers.info/. Which is just taking a yearly global average and counting it each second. According to the CDC yearly suicides in the US were around 49k people in 2022 or roughly 130 people per day.
Now given that if ~1k people could be confirmed to have killed themselves within 24 hours of the election every major new outlet would be talking. Let alone ~2k-4.5k people.
Even the logistics of confirming suicide within 24 hours in unfeasible. First the confirm would be via the death certificate which takes at least 3-5 days after death to be processed. Second not everyone who would take their life would be found quickly which will muddy the exact time of death. The more one looks at the effort it would take to somehow obtain real time cause of death numbers the more insane it sounds.
In summery anyone who is making a claim that thousands have taken their lives as a result of the election are living in a fantasy and need to touch grass.
