And even that wouldn't have prevent Hawaii from going so blue that they're actually even more Blue than California and New York. I honestly don't know what needs to happen for a Red Hawaii to be a thing.
One way would not be calling the election while they’re still voting. They’re 3-4-5 hours behind us so while mainland networks were calling their election for Dems it was still late afternoon over there with folks lined up to vote. How many stayed in line after being told the election was already called? Quite a few, but lots went home.

How the hell did that guy lose? He seemed very sharp and based.
Can anyone give me a tldr?
Tim Kaine was the governor of Virginia sometime ago I believe, and he’s been an incumbent senator for a long ass time. Basically everyone in Virginia knows who he is and he has the name recognition, this Hung Cao guy was a new name and therefore he lost. Sucks, but it really just boils down to that: name recognition and a popularity contest. Trump got more votes than Cao in Virginia.

Also, Tim Kaine was Hillary’s VP pick in 2016.

How do you get through to people? I
You don't need to, they just get old and die off. Look at Stephanie Miller or Tom Lykis, they just continue fighting the fight against "mean mr.reagan" long after most people outside of their niche stop caring and they just die off without kids.

The people that first sperged about Reagan are still living today, just barely surviving but still as pro-Mondale as they were back then. Still waiting for the democrats to realize he was right.

Much like how the GOP let their extremists die off because they didn't need to pander because that group had no place to go. The Dems could easily let the Berniebros die off. Because they have no alternative and will probably just stop voting,
Via the Amish
A gay guy befriending the Amish would have been the biggest comedy of the 2000s. Instead not only is it fact, the fruit got them to abandon their religious beliefs not to become degenerates but to vote and stop globohomo.
GRIIIIFFFTTTTEEEERR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the cool parts about it not being just boomers anymore, is that politicians are relatable to me now. I guarantee I have a similar picture of me with my elderly relative I barely knew who I visited once in my life in the 90s. I guess this is what people talked about when the boomers said "guy I'd have a beer with"
Even the more overtly liberal ones tend to be against niggers and troons
It's those "limousine beliefs" like in American psycho, Christian Bale's character has woke beliefs for his time. But it's obviously just table talk from people who don't watch sports but need to fill the dead air.

Women especially just have whatever the most accepted views are until they get a boyfriend then adopt his views.

Asian women much like white women or latinas will just parrot the view with the least amount of hatred.

People need to remember politics is as surface level as sports is to some people, how many people barely know about baseball but rooted for the dodgers or Mets this year? Literally same thing with politics.
I wish hot women ran but they'd rather live laugh and love. Only ones desperate for power are frumpy bitches that make dicks shrivel in a 50 mile radius
While true, plenty of women look good for their age and run. Mariane Williamson is 70 and blatantly attractive. Kristen gillabrand was like a blonde Democratic version of Palin.

The problem is a woman that cares enough about her looks to remain good looking at old age isn't going to be some "bootstrap" conservative type. Palin was hilariously unique in that regard.

Send some more homeless their way, that island chain is packed with the fuckers.

Man why can't we get a female choice for prez that is worth a damn? Two total shit heaps. Fuck it make that surf border lady the next option. At least she isn't a pile of shit. What even is that chick's name again?

Tulsi Gabbard? She's not great, she just looks great in comparison because Clinton is best described as demonic and Harris is a complete charisma vacuum. Kamala was about as likeable as a papercut and clearly basically retarded, it was pretty clear to anyone who wasn't blue-no-matter-who she was only in such a high position because she's brown and sucks dick well.

Good morning fellow kiwis. I took a screenshot of this Twatter exchange a little while ago because I figured it would age terribly after the election, and it did. Been waiting for the thread to slow down to share it:

Mercifully this twat was proven wrong, did this thread get resurrected after the election to rub it in?

Probably also doesn't help that Mitch McConnell doesn't give any money to these kind of candidates to help their campaigns but instead gives it to gun grabbers like Larry Hogan who never had a chance of winning

I really hope a tell-all book is written about the Kamala campaign. Even from the outside, you could tell it was imploding and that it was flailing.

They retooled their strategy several times. They went from joy to anger which involved calling Trump a Nazi/fascist. Then finally towards the last stretch they focused on the economy and not mentioning Trump at all. Also at the very end, they changed their campaign slogans to something hilariously generic. Those being, "FREEDOM" and "A PRESIDENT FOR ALL." This campaign was doomed from the start.

I doubt we'll get one as it's been widely reported that Biden/the DNC spent the last four years putting the fear into everyone with threats of blacklisting and life ruination if they try and leak how much of a dumpster fire the Biden administration was. To the point that it was rumored that the major publishing firms were said to be on standby to snitch on anyone trying to pitch a book about the shit show

I wonder if we could float something like a class action lawsuit against the media for mass psychological harm. Maybe this is crazy, but i feel like I've been abused by the media from all the constant gaslighting and shit over the past decade. I fell for some of it for my loved ones. I stayed inside. I got the vaccine. I mostly kept my mouth shut. And it was all based on lies and mass gaslighting. They really did a ton of damage to everyone in this country, and some kind of account needs to be held. Maybe bankrupting these corrupt organizations could be the way to go?
The best way to deal with gaslighting is to have a strong sense of self, be grounded in true reality, and not engage. For the media, that would mean not tuning in and not giving them any credence. There's plenty of alternative media now that actually report news and not propaganda. These people want attention, not just because it makes them money but because it feeds their ego. Don't give it to them.

@Gehenna--do you really think the left will be able to pull off any major rioting? Kamala is still begging for money, the majority of the country is behind the conservative agenda, the media's credibility and ratings are in shambles and they can't really run cover for activist groups rioting activities, and it looks like they don't have any executive branch support now that Biden's made it quite clear he wants a smooth transition and is eager to meet with Trump. I just don't see how the left has the monetary, cultural, or political capital anymore to pull off Floyd and Jan. 6 type riots.

Then it will end up as a long-term thorn in the side of the Democrats. Covid still haunts them according to the numbers, acting as a severe reducer of trust. Trump personally gets a bit of it too but nowhere near as bad.

I 100% believe that a good portion of the youth vote swinging in Trump's favor had a lot to do with covid.

The response to covid affected everyone, but it really affected kids in a negative way. I have no question that covid had something to do with the decisions of many first-time voters.

If you'd pick Kari's upset lady telling at a server at Applebee's phenotype over classical MILF , you're a deviant. I respect it, but you're still wrong.
Hey, I'm most certainly a deviant. The classic MILF stuff? not necessarily my thing. Sarah Palin reminds me of how I imagine a televangelist or someone who goes to a mall might look. I cannot stand the glasses. Every time I see her I expect her to break out singing about Jesus. She seems a little freaky (though, so does lake).

What really puts Kari over the edge for me has got to be the short hair. She's not my top pick, but as far as (potential) congresswomen go, she's in the top 5, for sure.

Either way, both are rather fuckable, okay?

If the next Democratic candidate is someone like Bernie Sanders, and he refuses to moderate as Harris did, then they're probably going to lose in a landslide. Bernie Sanders is popular among one type of person only: Democratic party primary voters. Only the most committed vote in primaries, and progressives are this chunk for the Democrats.
I was a Bernie Sanders voter. Now I'm solidly on the MAGA train, and not just because of Trump. My politics have shifted very hard to the right and I'm not alone. The old kike had his chance and he blew it, his time is over. I no longer view leftism positively, even divorced from the Democratic Party's repulsive bullshit. If I'm being honest this country doesn't need a president but instead a king, but I'll settle for Trump.
What do you guys think, does the Democratic party blow up in a fight between moderates and progressives? Does the party moderate even more? Do they go even more leftwards?
They can either put the woke away and become competitive again, or they can never win another fair national election until they do. Emphasis on fair.

The thing is, they might not need to stage it. They have more than enough infrastructure to have it organically rise... and Biden has -very- little reason to try to stop it. It would need to be the people doing the work in the shadows to stop it and... your argument kinda goes both ways. Do they have the capital to stop their golem going off the leash?

At this point, i don't think -anyone- knows if there will be riots.

Yeah, Cao got outspent like crazy. In the debate between him and Kaine, the crowd cheered for Cao and everyone loved his performance. But alas, dark money bought Tim Kaine another term.
I’d say he has a chance to make a real comeback. Maybe he could succeed Youngkin as governor, or win a more local office.

Just realized the Republicans could very well be in charge for at least eight years. The house may go either way in the midterms depending on how well the economy is by that time, but I’m sure Vance would win in 2028, and then he would win again in 2032. Best case scenario, they’re in charge for twelve years, even longer than Obama Dems.

You have to realize how lucky we are to live in this timeline. In any other world, Hillary won in 2016, Trump tried to run again in 2020 but predictably the Republican Party had enough of his shit for causing them to lose a landslide. He may have tried to run third party to spite them then and basically ensure Hillary’s reelection or she would’ve won regardless. Then, maybe a Republican like Rubio or Haley or something would’ve won in 2024 (because we wouldn’t have MAGA types like DeSantis and such).

Sorry for my :autism:, feel free to hit me with the Politispergery reaction if it still exists even. I play this browser game called The New Campaign Trail so my brain is rotted, full of these nightmare scenarios. One I played even had Trump as the Democratic nominee in 2008.
It will be greatly dependant on how the tariffs shake out, IMO. Because if Trump actually does everything he promises to WRT tariffs… it’s going to DESTROY the American consoomer.

Now, I personally think that’s a band-aid that must be ripped off if America is to have any chance at recovering its domestic economy and ending its reliance on de facto slave labor, but I don’t think the average American is ready for a massive price spike on non-essential goods. Unless the tariffs can show immediate gains within 4 years (which they probably won’t, the whole point of them is that you’re sacrificing short-term consoomerism for long-term economic independence and stability) the price increases WILL be blamed on Trump, and it WILL affect Vance’s run in 2028.

Her complete and utter annihilation of Kamala in 2016 primaries cemented her place in my heart. It was refreshing to have someone completely call out a candidate like that on stage.

Words cannot express my joy over the 'mysterious 15 million voters' from 2020's election coming back to bite Democrats in the ass.

They are making excuses and claiming its all in your imagination. 2028 will be the official confirmation that shenanigans did occur if the numbers stay the same.
