It will be greatly dependant on how the tariffs shake out, IMO. Because if Trump actually does everything he promises to WRT tariffs… it’s going to DESTROY the American consoomer.

Now, I personally think that’s a band-aid that must be ripped off if America is to have any chance at recovering its domestic economy and ending its reliance on de facto slave labor, but I don’t think the average American is ready for a massive price spike on non-essential goods. Unless the tariffs can show immediate gains within 4 years (which they probably won’t, the whole point of them is that you’re sacrificing short-term consoomerism for long-term economic independence and stability) the price increases WILL be blamed on Trump, and it WILL affect Vance’s run in 2028.
You have it right on the money dude. Also, I hope Vance chooses RFK or Tulsi Gabbard to be his VP. Imagine if the Democrats fucked up so bad that prominent politicians left their party just to become a Republican Vice President four years later.

But wait, it gets even funnier - they're pinning all this on George Clooney, since he was one of the main reasons why the dems ran with Kamala instead of Joe.

The Shinzo Abe memes keep getting stronger and stronger.
Fun fact: Clooney has been wanting to get into politics for a while and has been rumored to have paid money out to various DNC party hacks like Carville to go over with him in secret what he would need/how much it would cost hin to pull a Trump and run for President as a first time candidate and what he would need to do in order to secure the Democrat nomination as a novice/outsider.

"We need to stock up on guns and ammo so we can stop the government if it turns tyrranical"
"The government shouldnt be able to interfere in our personal lives!"
"Immigrants who dont share our values(voting blue no matter who) should fuck off back home"
"20 million votes less than last year? There's something wrong about that"
"billionaires like Bezos and Musk having control over social and traditional media and controlling what's allowed to be said is a problem! "

HOW the fuck do they keep getting so close to figuring things out and then miss so completely?
A lot of those sound like those "alt-right Nazi" talking points the mainstream media has been telling me about for the last decade.

I 100% believe that a good portion of the youth vote swinging in Trump's favor had a lot to do with covid.

The response to covid affected everyone, but it really affected kids in a negative way. I have no question that covid had something to do with the decisions of many first-time voters.
Absolutely! Looks like there were enough youth voters who weren't indoctrinated by the left.

I got into politics because of COVID. It was so dystopian, and I was angry. Thankfully I was in my late adolescence when it happened and not early childhood, but it still fucked me up. I know we make fun of these Kamala supporters crying and making irrational horror stories about the second Holocaust coming, but I would be lying if I wasn’t scared shitless over things well beyond my control, too. Personally, I fear technology is going to get so advanced it’s going to fuck us over and we’ll become like the obese consooomers in WALL-E. That may seem like an irrational fear to some, but I do think about it a lot and it does scare me shitless. I voted for the first time and for Trump because of COVID and just how much torture Biden and Harris have put us through. I’m so happy they’re paying the price of fucking with the wrong people.

George Clooney hasn't been in anything anybody would recognize, at least not lately. Combine this with him being a democrat, which is fundamentally juxtaposed to anything the U.S. public actually wants right now, and it seems obvious a Clooney campaign would be doomed.

The thing is, they might not need to stage it. They have more than enough infrastructure to have it organically rise... and Biden has -very- little reason to try to stop it. It would need to be the people doing the work in the shadows to stop it and... your argument kinda goes both ways. Do they have the capital to stop their golem going off the leash?

At this point, i don't think -anyone- knows if there will be riots.
Good points. I think the organic rising would be more of problem for them, but I also think it would be shut down rather quickly on the state level because there's no advantage to keeping it going like it was during Floyd. And just personal speculation, but there might be one reason Biden would try to stop it--to gain a slight redemption arc and not have his entire presidential legacy be an absolute and possibly literal dumpster fire.

I didn't think Clooney had even lived in the US for a decade or longer. Compound in Italy or some shit.

This thread proves to me that none of these fucking spergs really love their family. It's insane to just drop someone you have known for decades just like that.
These people will be confronted with a choice. Either they put their values aside and make the decision to connect with their loved ones, or they hold onto their grudges and end up angry and alone.

Politics tearing families apart isn't a new thing. It happened to my grandfather (R) and my great-aunt (D) decades ago, and they're still not on good terms. My great aunt is bitter and alone, with only weiner-dogs to keep her company. My grandpa has his grandchildren and his wife and his veteran friends.

They will get whats coming to them in time. You don't have to make amends and physically coexist with reddit strangers. You have to make concessions and physically coexist with your friends and family, though.

I am fortunate enough that I haven't lost any friends due to politics yet. I have been larping as a liberal long enough that I think I can keep up the schtick indefinitely. I am not stupid enough to think that that day won't come. I can only hope that my friends value me over their echo-chambers.

If they don't, they've made their choice, which is lose what I have to offer as a friend.

How dare you support the man against the rights of people.

And if they can be that nasty to people they're friendly with who did nothing at all them, I really have doubts that they would ever be someone you could rely on or trust regarding anything serious.

So anyone who doesn't have opinions identical to theirs are the enemy. What a bunch of creeps. No big loss having them out of your life.
Exactly why I just screenshot the messages and laugh, I assume they expect groveling and asking for forgiveness. I noticed that its always liberal women and fags who do these freakouts too, I have two guy friends who are liberal and they don't give a shit at all we still talk like normal because they are functioning adults.

That sucks so much, man. I can only imagine how petty that is where they’d cut you off over different political views. I’m lucky to be able to rant about Jews and how they control the world and have a shared global consciousness without any backlash, so it’s easy for me to say this, but I really feel for you.

George Clooney is one of those people famous for being famous at this point. Trump was a similar case, but he owns a big merch brand, golf courses and is a real estate mogul. I have no idea what Clooney does these days, the only time we ever hear about him is when he's dictating the DNC (somehow.)

What are we going to do to deprogram these people?
Life will get so good that the majority of people make their peace with MAGA. The diehards who don't will look so utterly ridiculous anytime they start bitching and moaning they eventually just stop. These people are status-obsessed midwit dorks who only perform these histrionics because they think it makes them look smart and important. When they figure out it makes them look gay and retarded they just won't do it anymore.

Edit: Rainbow me all you want, this is the just the inverse of right-wingers hiding their power level. Many of us had to do it for years, soon it can be their turn.

that's a whole decade of progress undone.
I'd argue that it's more than a decade, the extreme push for DEI has done nothing but harm women and minorities via the "soft bigotry of low expectations", and ended up making people genuinely think that DEI Hires are representative of the entire promoted group.

Why would you need to lower the passing grade for blacks specifically? Why would you need programs to get black women in schools? Why would you need to lower the strength requirement of women? Why should south-east asians be discriminated against when trying to join universities?
All of these are people acknowledging racist biases, but pretending that the racist bias does not exist. Cognitive dissonance like that is trivial to notice, but you get shat on when you point it out.

The video game industry is a great example of lasting damage, there are a ton of young devs in the game industry that became proper misogynists and racists, as they saw their companies start to tank after DEI policies started to hire whomever could fill the most checkboxes, they got passed for promotions and salary increases in favor of these DEI hires, and they have to cover and clean up behind these compliance-hires, while being punished for existing while white/existing while male.

Undoing this kind of damage is not going to take one presidency, or even a decade, it's going to be an entire generation of people whose mind has been poisoned by skewed representations of incompetents, and implicit "racist corrections" that fix symptoms, not problems.
