So who would you chose by currend day standard ?

so that weird ass dlc ability is a personal haste along with a damage increase that stacks with berserk's
health loss is completely negligible with a spirit healer or lifegiver + cailan's set
and i just checked to see if it stacked with haste and it does, completely negating the disadvantage of two-handing a weapon
goddamn

Just wait until you mix in Awakening stuff which you can easily mod into the base game.

The absolute state of this entire industry.
Oh well, at least the only good game in the franchise won't get pozzed. I'm sure EA tried porting it into Frostbite, but it just wouldn't work, there is no way they wouldn't release a remastered edition to recoup their losses if they only could.
This makes me so fucking sad because when I first played origins I expected the future entries to be like twice the size and with more choices and stuff added on top :c They keep bethesdaing my vidigems

The first 2 games heavily implied that the Rachni invasion and then the Krogan rebellion were both caused by Sovereign through indoctrination - trying to weaken the Asari and Salarians so it could get to the Citadel. 3 fucked that up by explicitly saying the Rachni were never indoctrinated.
the Rachni yes but i don't remember it ever being implied Sovereign had anything to do with the Krogan rebellion, Krogans are violent savages by nature and now they had the power and technology to invade and take over the galaxy so they took it.

This'll probably be my last post in this thread, at least my last post where I sperg about numbers and sales performance.

A while back I mentioned that another Metric we can use to measure how well the game did was to check the Xbox top played. It doesn't update daily, so I wanted to wait a week to check how it did.

Well, it didn't even crack the top 50. That means that, on Xbox/the Xbox ecosystem, there were more people playing games like Skyrim, Space Marine 2, Halo Infinite, Baldur's Gate, and (most embarrassingly) Mortal Kombat 1.

So, a week after its release, it didn't crack the top 50 on Xbox, It's regularly getting 10-20k less players than Baldurs Gate 3 and has fallen below it on the top selling games chart, and has lost over 50% of its playerbase in 7 days.

Alongside those player numbers, Interest in the game is virtually non-existent outside of dedicated safe spaces like the DA reddit. Only 3 videos since its release has gathered over 1M views on youtube, The only video being 'slightly' positive about it being Dunkey's garbage ass video. Discussion on Reddit outside of the aforementioned DA reddit, is either non-existent or negative.

With other outlets reporting that the game probably sold worse than SW Outlaws, this game has been a massive failure by all metrics.

Probably one of the best news I have read about DA in a while.

May their slumber continue until more apte hands wake them up : )

So you're saying...Todd won again, right?

His slop sold very well and they made a fortune of it, but it damaged their reputation significantly.

Veilguard (probably) sold rather poorly and damaged Nu-Bioware's reputation significantly.

Even when he fails, he wins. Who can stop this man?

Now I'm curious if Starfield outsold this game in the time both were out. Unfortunately, sale statistics are skewed thanks to so many people either renting it on game pass or refunding it.
Imagine if even starslop does better than this game, how pathetic!

It absolutely did, no question.

More players than Skyrim, FO4/76, and BG3. Either a lot of Xbox players bought it, or are playing via Gamepass.

And even with Gamepass, MS/Bethesda sees gamepass subscriptions as success, so even if it didn't 'sell well', it's more successful by any metric.

You think that Starfield beat Veilguard? I'm too busy right now to look into it, but if that's the case, that's at least one RPG Starflop was able to outdo. I can name at least one other space RPG off the top of my head that was more well received and is better in every way. No, not Mass Effect BTW, outside the first one I doubt they even qualify as actual RPGs.
BTW, less than 5000 players playing it one year later...oof!
I bet Skyrim still has more players, and that's a 13 year old game now.

Yes.

I went back and added a bit more info from Xbox player counts.

As I said, Gamepass is going to skew those metrics, and IDK if this list included both Xbox and PC Xbox app, but there are probably still more people playing Starfield Overall than it looks like. If you have PC gamepass, the only reason you would want to play on steam is if; A) you dont want to be bothered with signing into xbox or B) want to use more intricate mods (which may not even be the case anymore)

Steam doesn't count Xbox App games, so that all time player count for steam is exclusively sales via steam.

And as I've pointed out before, there is no interest in this game. It's not as easy of a metric to measure, but that means that any future sales or growth is going to be very minimal. Good or bad, people still talk about Starfield, and there was a ton more discussion about it at release. For how 'controversial' the game is, people really couldn't care less about discussing it.

EDIT: Just for reference, the Starfield vs DA reddit numbers right now.

3.png

More members, and around 50% of the active users of the DA reddit. Remember, this is for a mediocre, console/platform exclusive RPG that came out over a year ago.

Alright, now I'm done sperging about the numbers.

that's surprising but also not really surprising, i guess most DA fans aren't redditards, also the veilguard subreddit only has 11k
