The impact of wokeism is a bit different from Covid or Iraq. Covid had a horrible effect on many people and damaged many people's faith in each other but the worst of it only lasted a couple years and it was mostly memoryholed by the end of 2022. The Iraq war was was globally devastating but most people in the US and world didn't know many people directly impacted by it. Many troops died or were never the same but for most people it was something they could compartmentalize and quickly forget once Bush left office.

Wokeness brought about a decade-ish long reign of terror that intruded into people's lives in countless ways. It's easier to count things that weren't affected by it than things that were. If someone in the Western world was in public education or corporate employment in the last ten years, if they were involved in any creative subcultures or Internet communities they were probably affected by this odious regime in many different ways. The Marxist revolutionaries from the 60s and 70s were memoryholed but how effective will that be for the 2010s? There were anime dubs that added references to GamerGate. Someone who watches the Jackson LotR movies and wants to check out the Rings of Power will be treated to a Trump rally. The progressive attempts to take over all media will make them difficult to forget and provide ragebait for the right for years to come.
I had read a trilogy by Don Winslow: the first book, The Power of the Dog, is incredible to the point I couldn't put it down. The second was okay...and then the third is wattpad fanfiction ripped straight from the headlines of special prosecutor not!Mueller investigating the president's ties with not!Russia (the Mexican cartels)

Same from a new book from Frank Schatzing of "The fifth day" fame, that apart from being basically incomplete it resorted to jamming not!Trump in the plot with no reason other than soapboxing

The pollsters were genuinely fucked, imo. They would have just had to take a wild guess at how wrong they were to compensate. This is the fault of the democrat party and their media lapdogs. They spent the past 8 years calling Trump voters nazis and sowing such division that families fracture over it and people lose their jobs. It's not possible for the pollsters to compensate for the fact that a large proportion of trump voters, if asked who they're voting for, are going to lie or not answer because they don't want to be targeted for not being far left enough.
I mean I deliberately lied to the pollsters that called or texted me, but that was less out of worry that I might be found out as insufficiently Democrat, and more that I thought fucking with their numbers and causing overconfidence would be funny.

Now, I personally think that’s a band-aid that must be ripped off if America is to have any chance at recovering its domestic economy and ending its reliance on de facto slave labor, but I don’t think the average American is ready for a massive price spike on non-essential goods. Unless the tariffs can show immediate gains within 4 years (which they probably won’t, the whole point of them is that you’re sacrificing short-term consoomerism for long-term economic independence and stability) the price increases WILL be blamed on Trump, and it WILL affect Vance’s run in 2028.
And you can be guaranteed the the Democrats will do everything in their power to make the tariffs hurt the common man as much as possible, just as they did with the Covid Lockdowns and government shutdowns. After all, the plebs need to understand that voting for the wrong candidate or desiring the wrong policies has consquences.

The European political left and right would've never allowed mass immigration of millions of none-Europeans in the early 2000s but that all changed and it's fucked up the continent forever.
I will never ever forgive Nobel Peace Prize laureate Barack Obama for gutting Libya, creating the festering wound leaking the endless stream of invading parasites.
Even then, to bring it back to Trump and the elections, there was a man who was against it, and paid dearly: Silvio Berlusconi, the only top European politician that considered it, rightfully, the dumbest idea ever.

The parallels between him and DJT are staggering: former businessman come into politics to shake the system, charismatic unscripted speaker prone to gaffes, womanizer, dialectically anti-PC and populist, kind of a disillusioned classical liberal, sort-of-neocon boomer at heart, surrounded by sycophants, pragmatically friendly with Putin, just like Trump branded as Fascist for 20 years by the deranged ultra radical authoritarians that somehow took control of MS media, brutalized by a corrupt, partisan giudicial system.

If things go like for him, the best has yet to come, and the biggest challenges are yet to manifest.
Donald will never have peace, the hateful vipers will never leave him be, and persecute him even in the twilight of his political career, when he will be the most vulnerable.

Sometimes, I imagine Silvio over Donalds shoulder side by side Based Shinzo.

Good luck you goofy boomer, GodSneed.

Trump needs to reopen the keystone pipeline again just so the trade unions can bend over and deepthroat his cock for the extra jobs.
It's too late, it's not coming back. It really, really sucks that projects that are longer than 4 years are so hard to stay afloat due to admin stuff.
