Junkies aren't a thing in places like Singapore because they force addicts into rehab and simply execute the dealers when they are caught. Grassroots efforts on the state level are the future. Attempting to force equity in culture will end as poorly for the right as attempting to force equity in outcomes did just recently for the left.

I definitely understand the perspective and generally agree with "don't give the government any power you wouldn't want used against you".

I think cutting funding for schools that teach or push gender ideology is fine. That has already been used against the American people on the flip side and the defence against it is school choice and homeschooling. Alternatively, abolishing the DOE would likely also address this anyway.

Allowing people to sue doctors for malpractice and neglect and experimental transgender surgeries is also fine. I think that should generally be the case for any medical treatment unless a specific waver is signed (like experimental drugs for terminal illness).

You do raise a fair point that if the federal government can determine it has to be banned, if power shifts the federal government can determine it can't be banned. That is something that should always be considered.

Yes, we have power now. But what happens when we don't? What happens then? What are the knock on consequences?

I think this one comes down to how it is done. If it's a strong ban evidenced by proof of long term consequences (infertility, high complication rates, lower IQ, higher risk of fracture) and no evidence of benefit (no lowered suicidality and no improvement in mental health) and evidence of social contagion (pattern of those who show ROGD, and most children no longer identifying as trans once they are 18+) I think that would fortify it enough to hold out even if tides shift.

You can't just say "this is dumb, banned" you have to make it strong and evidence based with clear harm demonstrated and no benefit so that when Democrat control resurfaced in 4-12 years the burden is on them to demonstrate that's not true. That's a much more difficult job.

I don't know if that would be realistic but I think that would be stable enough to last if it is.

The solution seems simple. You work up the chain. You don't throw users in prison like it's the 1990s, you get them to flip on their dealer as a plea deal, then just work up the chain.

The economy
Immigration and removing illegals
Moral scolds enforcing their particular brand of morality on everybody

If the modern right becomes the third out of revenge and in so doing ends up burying the real work done on the first two, you're looking at a very weird future in which the right and left both have become cultural pariahs. One where the populace has probably just checked out of politics entirely, which will probably lead us right back to where we are now.

Cultural equity doesn't work. Economic equity doesn't work. We have fifty states for a reason, if we are to have the federal government take a more active role in the lives of the citizenry, let it be in the domains people actually fucking voted for this time around and leave cultural shit to the states. If the right can cleave to that, and most importantly fight culturally instead of legally like it has for the past eight years then the same result will be achieved, just on a longer timeline, anyway.

I cannot stress enough that this victory was first and second about non-cultural issues. Harris - and by extension the left - ran on cultural issues at the federal level and lost, it'll go the same for the right and for good reason. I personally wouldn't vote for that and many of the recently-converted liberals/libertarians wouldn't either.

The war on drugs never started. You lift the street level scum and give them a choice between a decade or two in prison or a bullet in the head if they don't give up the next guy up and keep doing that until you get to the actual big time traffickers and then you just execute them to cripple their organizations.

The whole network of international drug dealing could be completely dismantled in a couple of years by creating a branch of the US military that was designed to do this.
