If we're lucky it will be the AOC's of the party since they're the next generation. If we're less lucky, it will be the Whitmers and Shapiros who are at least passably moderate and sane. Sanders will be too old and Newsom isn't going anywhere with the rest of the country as a used car selling Californian. A lot of the last group are tainted from being too close to Biden (Buttigieg, Beto, and those clowns) If we can hang the social issue albatross on a squad member that gets the call because the loadest people in the room will be the most idiotic, and they won't let it go, 2026 should be fine. The Senate has a ton of Republican seats to defend but they're almost all safe, bar Maine and North Carolina (Collins and Tillis) They're defending Georgia, NH, Virginia and Michigan, which are all flippable. Then you get to the "Trump is killing it and the board changed" less likely ones like NJ, Minnesota, Colorado, NM. House is the one that can flip with a midterm depending on how things are going since turnout generally sucks and only motivated pissed off people show up.
