Remember when Tubby Tess was relentlessly flirting with her 18 year old half brother
I don't think people generally notice how fucking creepy Tess is. She's such a piggy clown show that it's easy to miss between the hideous outfits and dumb Tiktok attention whoring.

Anna has used her position to "flirt" with working men, which is gross enough, but Tess has done her fat sex goddess routine at school events, family events, around Bowie, etc. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she's molested drunk young men/teens in LA.
Tubbers was convinced that her career hit the skids due to COVID and was going to bounce back afterwards.
Every working model with a brain knows they have a brief career window. After a certain age, they need to have a 2nd career set up.

But Tess thought she'd be an in-demand model well into her 40s just because she's Tess Holliday, y'all! Even Christy Turlington wasn't that deluded - she went back to college and started writing and investing.

Tess WTF is you doing?
The "Voting for Trump is RACIST" people are my new favorite. Literally millions of POC voted for him. And I'm giving a hard side-eye to the notion that a Black candidate is somehow entitled to POC votes, just because she's black. Sounds kinda racist.
In these dark times, at least they have the sight of a bloated landwhale in massive underwear to keep them strong.

There is something seriously off with Tess's family. In my opinion, she gives off multiple signs of having been sexually abused and I would be surprised if she hadn't been.

She is a borderline, and over 90% of borderlines experienced sexual abuse as children.
She seemed bizarrely happy when her grandfather died, which made me wonder about the exact nature of her relationship with him.
She apparently has no compunctions about flirting with her half brother, who is also much younger than she is.
She sees no problem with allowing people she barely knows, and who are obviously mentally ill, unfettered access to her minor son.
Her relationship with her father is fractured.
She almost certainly has worked as a prostitute, and nearly every woman in this line of work was sexually abused as a child.
Her mother selected a violent boyfriend, which raises questions about Beth's pre-gunshot mental status and parenting capabilities. (And if the boyfriend was willing to shoot Beth in the head, what else was he willing to do in that house?)
She obviously eats to cope with her emotions and in my personal experience, heavily overweight women eat to cope with serious trauma, usually sexual in nature.

Personally I believe that she was, but I of course can't say for sure. It does not excuse her behaviour as an adult, nor her craptastic parenting. She is still a Friday turd at a Saturday market.

And now we have Tad with his ongoing situation. It is entirely possible he is innocent, but this family is really starting to look way more fucked up than it did before. I was always perplexed at the number of people insisting that Tess's family should take custody of Bowie; after all, this is the group of people that created the Superwaddle in all her fat-assed, personality-disordered glory.

If she was, I’d be very surprised she wouldn’t have milked it for all it’s worth by now. After all, this is someone who lied about being anorexic. I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, it’s just if she has, why she hasn’t exploited it to the hilt.
Sexual abuse victims react very differently to what happened to them in terms of public presentation, if you will. I unfortunately have known many sexual abuse victims and some of them will NEVER admit outside of a therapist's office that this happened to them, while others make it part of their everyday personality. Most fall somewhere in the middle and will tell close friends but that's it. It's fairly unpredictable just based on appearance and personality.

So if that is something that actually happened to Tess, she might be telling us in every way possible except actually saying it point blank. I agree with you that she seems the type to score victim points whenever she can, but we still don't know what actually happened to her in London or in Italy; so she is, surprisingly, capable of keeping things she deems too humiliating or painful under her hat.

I was always willing to believe that Tess was a one-off, but with Tad ~aLl3gEdlY~ being a pedo, yeah, there’s some more going on here.

I’ve been wanting to do a deeper dive into the criminal charge and any other juicy tidbits, but the Mississippi state court records website has been down. Here I am with a free Sunday and plenty of coffee and I get this:

IMG_0778.jpeg

So I’m working with what I’ve got, and I don’t know exactly how much of this, if any, has been discussed in the thread, but it’s good to refresh when something new and spicy pops up. I know that Tad’s Goodreads account was brought up at one time because he reviewed Tess‘ book, but he has been inactive on Goodreads since January of 2018.

IMG_0780.jpeg

So what has Tad been up to since then?

Well, as the article about his arrest mentions, he is a realtor in Virginia, working for the Ron Sawyer Team at Remax.

Meet Doug!
IMG_0775.jpeg

He currently has one listing:
IMG_0777.jpeg

He was arrested in July, and his wife was due to give birth to yet another baby in September. The judge required him to stay in Mississippi (where he was charged—they picked him up in VA then brought him to MS to charge him) until September 1st. He was allowed to go home in September to be with his wife because he is a great dad and husband despite, you know, facing life in prison for sexually abusing a teenager, but I digress.

So he would have been in MS the last week of July and all of August, in jail, for a very serious charge of violating a foster child, which certainly will put a damper on your referral-based business. Most salespeople on vacations will still be able to answer their phones and say “yes absolutely, let me call you when I get back to town/have an associate back at the office take care of this,” but Tad could not, and that can ruin you, even without the allegations of forcing yourself on a minor in your care. Sorry, sorry, I keep focusing on that, my bad. Let’s talk about Tad’s good qualities.

He’s a Ruling Elder at Reformation Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, VA.

IMG_0782.jpeg

They are somehow also associated with All Saints Presbyterian and he is listed as an Elder there, but no bio. There is a picture of him on their website:

IMG_0783.jpeg

He used to run a WordPress blog called Christ Is The Only Way. He hasn’t posted in years, but the About page provides some interesting insight into the family dynamic.

About

My name is Douglas Allen Hoven, Jr.(A.K.A. Tad Hoven). I am from the small town of Laurel, MS and am twenty-eight years old. I have one older sister, two little brothers, a lovely wife, and a beautiful daughter. I am a Christian, saved by grace. That is what I want to be remembered about me. It is what defines me in every aspect of my life.
As a child, my family and I would move to another state every year or so and seldom settled in one place for an extended period of time. My parents divorced when I was six years old and my relationship with my parents became very different (thanks be to God that our relationship has been restored nowadays). This was very detrimental to my sister and me; our relationship was never the same after that. At the age of nine my mother was shot in the head twice leaving her paralyzed for a few months. She shortly after regained motor functions, but was forever affected by this injury.
When I was thirteen I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and for the first time my life had purpose. I had a passion for God and a thirst for knowledge, wisdom, understanding, for helping others, etc. It was the happiest I had ever been.
Shortly after this and a series of unfortunate events, I was forced to take care of myself at the age of fifteen; I had to take care of myself and pay my own way. So that’s what I did.
During the next three years I fell away from the church, developed a pain pill and alcohol addiction, felt rejected by those closest to me, starting stealing anything I needed to get by, engaged in relationships with anyone who accept me, the list goes on. This time was the most miserable, hopeless time in my life.
At the age of eighteen I left for the military. I honorably served eight years on submarines, got married, had a daughter, went on three overseas deployments, and never kicked my drinking problem or came back to the Lord. My misery continued throughout this time. I was still not at peace.
Shortly after I got out of the Navy I started to evaluate what my purpose was in this life. I was tired of not knowing. Tired of being angry all the time, of being a bad husband, of being a bad father. Something had to change. After attending church for several months God opened up my eyes. I had been holding in resentment toward my parents for their rejection of me. The moment I called them and forgave them, I was at peace. God lifted that burden and I no longer had the desire to drink, to do drugs, etc. The pain was gone. God removed my pain and once again I had purpose. He was there the whole time and never left my side. I tried running and got lost in my sin.
I turned to God and answered the call to come to Him. I have never been happier. My life has meaning, it has a purpose. Because I forgave others, and myself, God forgave me and I was able to have a relationship with my heavenly Father again. I was able to be loved by Him and to love others with fullness. In God, there is hope, apart from Him, it is hopeless. That is my story.

-Tad Hoven

His wife’s name is Julie, and on paper she seems to be a very impressive gal, but she has not updated LinkedIn since she got her degree a decade ago. I assume she is staying home to raise the kids. From the church bio, she’s been pregnant at least 6 times, and I could see 2 of those pregnancies being lost, OR, two of their children were born and then sometime later died, or one of each. If I understand it all correctly, there should be 5 kids in the home as of today, with the youngest having been born about 2 months ago, this past September.

I have to wonder though, if she’s so smart, how did she end up wrangled into the Hoven family? But, if this guy is as slimy as it’s starting to appear, he could have hid his propensities for child rape long enough to marry a very religious woman who would consider divorce a sin and pump her full of babies to really seal the deal. That said, I know intelligent women can be abuse victims, and for a lot of them it can be very hard to even admit to the abuse because, “if I’m so smart, how did I get into this situation?” It’s impossible to make any sense of it until you realize the abuser is a fucking monster and they think in ways non-monsters are simply not inclined to do.

I haven’t taken the time to go through his blog yet, but I gave it a quick glance, and I thought this article looked like it could be interesting, coming from a man who would Be charged with sexual battery of a foster child ten years later:

Do we need to ask forgiveness for our sins?

I logically wouldn’t think this needs to be covered, but through my interactions with other people I have learned that it does. In some circles it is taught that 1 John 1:9 is written to the lost, not the Christian. It is taught that a Christian doesn’t need to confess their sins, that in doing so we profess unbelief, that a Christian is supposed to be righteous and never sin (which is wrong and is not biblical). We are all sinners (Romans 3:23, 6:23) The verse reads as follows: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Keep in mind as I will cover later, the chapter/verse division wasn’t in the original text. It was introduced around A.D. 1205 by Stephen Langton. So when the Bible is being read, it reads like a letter. All of it together in context. Not random excerpts out of context. This is the reason we have over 10,000 denominations in the “Christian church”. There are many sects/cults that are self-professing Christian denominations, but heretical at the heart of their teachings. Here we go!

2 Timothy 2:23-26 – But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Now let’s read 1 John in context. We are going to step through 1 John and see if it could possibly be written to the lost (which it isn’t; it is written to the Christian church).

  • Notice the use of pronoun “we”/”us/our”. Is the author lost? No. Most definitely not.

1) 1 John1:1-10 – What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things wewrite, so that our joy may be made complete. This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If wesay that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If wesay that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If weconfess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

2) (This makes it pretty clear (to me). I don’t want to make God a liar) v. 8-10: We are all sinners, (v. 10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar…..

3) 1 John 2:1-2: My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those ofthe whole world. (……pretty clear)

4)
1 John 2:8: On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining.

5) (The lost don’t know God, v. 13 can’t apply to lost, they also haven’t “overcome the evil one” (v.13); the Word of God doesn’t “abide” in the lost (v. 14)) 1 John 2:12-14: I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

6) (For this epistle to be written to the lost, v. 19 would have to be saying that Christians went out from the lost and were never lost? Do the lost have an anointing from the Holy One? No! (v.20)) 1 John 2:19-21: They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

7) (Once again, do the lost have an anointing from the Holy One? (v. 27); do the lost abide in God? NO! (v. 27) 1 John 2:27: As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

8) (The lost cannot have confidence when He appears (v. 28) 1 John 2:28: Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.

9) (Are the lost “children of God”? , NO! (v. 1-2)) 1 John 3:1-2: See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and suchwe are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

10) (The world doesn’t hate the lost, it accepts them as one of their own, because they are (v.13); the lost haven’t passed out of death into life (v.14), they are still in their sin) 1 John 3:11-13: For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous. Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.

11) (Christ laid down His life for His sheep, not the lost: John 10:25-28 – Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.) 1 John 3:16 : We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

12) (The lost cannot have an assured heart) 1 John 3:19: We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him

13) (The Lord does not answer the requests of the lost, their will is contrary to the will of our Father, they cannot ask according to His will. For Him to “answer their requests would contradict His nature. In the end, His sovereignty/providence reigns over all. He can still work in their life and will, but not because they asked it of Him, it’s because He is God, and He can do that.)- 1 John 3:22: and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

14) (Once again, does He abide in the lost? NO! They haven’t received the Spirit) 1 John 3:24: The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

15) (The lost are in the world, and of the world, and again, the Spirit of God does not live in them! And again, they have not overcome the world/evil one) 1 John 4:4: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

16) (For this to be to the lost, it would be saying he who is lost doesn’t listen to the lost, and only listens to those who know God? It wouldn’t work) 1 John 4:6: We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

17) (The love of God isn’t manifested in the lost, only in those who know God, nor would they live through Jesus). 1 John 4:9: By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

18) (Already covered) 1 John 4:13: By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

19) (Already covered) 1 John 4:19: We love, because He first loved us.

20) (The lost don’t have faith, that should be evident) 1 John 5:4: For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.

21)
(The lost don’t have eternal life) 1 John 5:11: And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

22) (The lost don’t have eternal life) 1 John 5:13: These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

23) (Covered in #13)1 John 5:14: This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

more of my thoughts:

First off, this is not an “essential” message of the faith. When studying the Bible we shouldn’t read anything into the Bible. We let the Spirit lead our studies and let the Bible speak for itself. If it isn’t “black and white”, then don’t claim your “view” as an absolute truth and tell others they are wrong. This is bad theology to approach it that way. Approach all with loving-kindness, gentleness, grace, patience, and love.

In closing, we should acknowledge sin as what it is, sin. We shouldn’t attempt to justify it somehow, or pretend God doesn’t know what we’ve done. We should put off the old, put on the new, and be a new creation. Not want to sin, and feel bad when we do, and ask God to help us not do it again. God knows our hearts, and we don’t necessarily need to ask for forgiveness verbally, but the intent of our heart needs to be repentant. The Holy Bible speaks for itself, and defends itself. The “assumption” is that 1 John 1:9 is strictly addressed to the lost, not the saved. For this to be true, the entire letter would have to be written to the lost, which clearly is not true. See 1 John 3:1 ….we would be called children of God; and such we are. ; 1 John 5:4: ….and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Look at the numerous, numerous other verses that clearly address the general epistle of 1 John to be addressed to God’s church. The saved, not the lost. Keep in mind, this is all secondary to the primary message of the Bible, which is salvation through faith, by grace, the means by which is Jesus Christ’s complete work on the cross.

Excerpt for everyone else:

I really want to know if he’s done this, or anything like it before. I will report back when Mississippi gets their shit back together.

Sexual abuse victims react very differently to what happened to them in terms of public presentation, if you will. I unfortunately have known many sexual abuse victims and some of them will NEVER admit outside of a therapist's office that this happened to them, while others make it part of their everyday personality. Yeah but, are these people you know internet lolcows? Because internet lolocows will put anything and everything out there to be perceived as victims. I'm with @The Hardest R. If anything like that happened to Tess, she would be exploiting it to the max. She'd be shilling for coin telling "Muh story" and doing woke interviews. She has had no qualms about anything else regarding her "public presentation," even stuff that is likely doing damage to her children.

She is? I don't remember her ever getting diagnosed and most of us think it's narcissism.

A lot of people like to forget that one of the key characteristics of BPD is an unstable sense of self, and that is not Tess’ problem. She’s the same person she’s been since she was a teenager from everyone’s telling (I was catching up on the Hovens recently and reading stuff her grandma and 8th grade teacher said about her), and except for adopting the stage name of “Tess Munster,” and for a pretty understandable reason (Ryann Hoven sounds like a literal cow’s name and she wanted to be a model), she‘s stayed Tess Munster, with the only exception of lucking out and marrying a man named Hooliday Holliday, and keeping the name after her divorce, which a lot of women do for the convenience. We’ve seen her scramble to try new things: podcasts, merch, cake farting, etc, but it’s all been in furtherance of maintaining the same persona.

We haven’t seen her move to drastically different places a dozen times for no good reason other than re-invention (she moved to the west coast, but again, that makes sense for anyone pursuing a modeling or acting career, no matter how unrealistic the dream—some industries are like that), she’s never tried a new religion or joined a cult, and she’s so repulsive she’s not getting into enough romantic relationships to demonstrate the “I hate you don’t leave me” mentality. For that matter, I do not think she has an irrational fear of abandonment, again, another tick in the “not BPD” column.

Other than the obesity and *maybe* the tattoos, we don’t see signs of self-harm on her, either (and I think the obesity is more tied to a narcissistic inability to say “no” to herself like a lot of fatties rather than a desire to self-mutliate, the results come so far after the act of eating that I don’t think it works that way for anyone, really; also, the tattoos are well-done and required a lot of research before getting; those aren’t the results of a lot of impulse decisions). We see her get angry, and we see her cry sometimes, too, and it’s often stupid and well-deserved, but from what we see, it’s not BPD-levels of having to jump in a swimming pool of nearly-freezing water to calm herself down emotional dysregulation.

It‘s all the same cluster, so you’ll see overlap and similarities, but I don’t think there’s a great case for BPD with Tess.

I was always willing to believe that Tess was a one-off, but with Tad ~aLl3gEdlY~ being a pedo, yeah, there’s some more going on here.
Thanks for doing the deeper dive. He kind of glosses over much of his life as a teenager but it seems to potentially add a lot of insight into his own situation as well as Ryann’s.
It‘s all the same cluster, so you’ll see overlap and similarities, but I don’t think there’s a great case for BPD with Tess.
I agree. Even if you make the case that Tess actually needs to mix it up to save her (now failed) modeling career, Tess still acts like she’s a rockabilly pinup girl in her early 20s. She’s been acting like the same person for much of her life.
Not saying that something isn't off with the Hoven clan of course, especially with Tad's charges.
Yeah. I’ve seen a bunch of white trash families do a bunch of white trash shit over the years. I often wonder if it’s intergenerational trauma, people with poor impulse control getting into easily avoidable situations, or some combination thereof. That’s why I’m not quick to buy into the theory that she had something happen to her but wouldn’t surprise me if it did. However we’ve seen Tubbers do a lot of really desperate shit and not once has she pulled this card.

I agree with all of you that she has a serious personality disorder. Let's just focus on NPD for a minute:

A person with NPD may...

  • Exaggerate their achievements and talents, or expect to be recognized as superior without accomplishments to support this.
Yeah she sure does this constantly, claiming that she's the queen of the body positive movement.
  • Be preoccupied with fantasies of success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love.
She thinks she's hot as fuck.
  • Believe that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status individuals.
We all know this is going on.
  • Require excessive admiration.
Check.
  • Have a sense of entitlement or unreasonable expectations of overly favorable treatment or expect automatic compliance with his or her expectations.
Thinks she's an A List celebrity or should be treated as one when she isn't.
  • Take advantage of others to achieve their requirements.
Didn't she use her friend as a nanny for multiple years?
  • Lack empathy and is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
Speaks for itself.
  • Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of them.
"The haters"
  • Demonstrates arrogant or better-than attitudes and behaviors.
Does she ever not do this?

A lot of people like to forget that one of the key characteristics of BPD is an unstable sense of self, and that is not Tess’ problem.
True - if Tess had BPD we'd see her change her personality with the change of partners, which isn't something she's done. On the opposite, she seems to pull partners down with her lifestyle.

Yeah. I’ve seen a bunch of white trash families do a bunch of white trash shit over the years. I often wonder if it’s intergenerational trauma, people with poor impulse control getting into easily avoidable situations, or some combination thereof.
A lot of past psychology seemed to focus on "something bad must've happened to X in their past, causing them to act this way", but the truth is that it seems like some people are just born a certain way, especially when it comes to personality disorders. Of course, bad things can and do happen do people within certain clusters, but is it what caused the behavior or is it a consequence of already existing behavior?

That's a great concluding question. I personally just put it down to Tess being Tess and her NPD lol

There is also Histrionic Personality Disorder in the Cluster Bs, I'm not sure what the difference is between it and NPD is though.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking behaviors, usually beginning in early adulthood, including inappropriate seduction and an excessive desire for approval. People diagnosed with the disorder are said to be lively, dramatic, vivacious, enthusiastic, extroverted and flirtatious.

HPD lies in the dramatic cluster of personality disorders, also known as the Cluster B. People with HPD have a high desire for attention, make loud and inappropriate appearances, exaggerate their behaviors and emotions, and crave stimulation.[1] They very often exhibit pervasive and persistent sexually provocative behavior, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, and can be easily influenced by others. Associated features include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, and persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own wants.

Is that the huge, ugly fat dude who was on the Calvin Klein billboards a few years back?

To answer my own question, yep:

I’d forgotten he and Tess were “pals”.
Imagine insisting this chromosome lacker who looks like a fatter LaWanda is a model.
Tubbers pretended she and Jari were the best of friends and if I recall, Jari modeled some of Ryann’s failed FTF x EYBS capsule. I never got the impression the feeling was mutual though. Jari very likely promptly forgot about Tess after the failed capsule because we never heard about her again in Tess’s mentions until now. Yet another BFF that disappeared as quickly as they came.

I'd also question the number "90% have been sexually abused as children" number since people with BPD are notoriously unreliable narrators.

Not saying that something isn't off with the Hoven clan of course, especially with Tad's charges.
My God had to second the unreliable narrator

It’s the most maddening thing when you have to remind someone how something actually happened

They acknowledge and you think you’ve made progress

Only for a few days/weeks to pass and their brain ‘corrects’ the memory again

BPD gets overused a lot but if you’ve dated or dealt with a real one it’s genuinely astounding how they tick
