Possibly. Failure for an IVF embryo to implant isn’t necessarily infertility. Happens all the time when you’re trying natural conception. A normal, not infertile woman over 30 has like a 20% chance every month. Which is another reason it’s stupid to call it a miscarriage. It’s a miscarriage the same way having your period at the end of the month when you’re trying for a baby is a miscarriage.

IVF clinics will normally only take you after you’ve been trying for a year if you’re under 35 and 6 months over 35. It’s very easy to lie about that, though.

I know someone has probably brought this up before, but it’s insane to characterize a failed IVF implantation as a miscarriage.

I’m not going to pretend it’s not disappointing — I don’t want to powerlevel on this, I just want to make it clear I understand how much it sucks to spend thousands of dollars on IVF and then be told it didn’t work.

Bex always finds a way to make something more of a drama where she is the most affected person so exaggerations of events are par for course. If it happened to her, and it sucked, she'll exagerate the details to make it more major than it probably is. But I bet it's fustrating for anyone with friends/relatives they know who have gone through the process with similar issues to see how Bex goes on about things. I hope things worked out in the long run/ or will work out depending on the situation.

Before the IVF saga Bex had been trying with the cucks for a few years between complaints that she wasn't really into the sex, but they really wanted to get a baby into the mix.

I recall when they were still trying to do it naturally - there was one time when she was claiming her period was late - was bugging the heck out of the doctors to see her asap repeatedly over a few weeks, because the pregnancy tests were not giving positives, and they were telling her it was too soon to check shit. Considering this was after years of claimed miscarrages, it seemed kinda weird that she wouldn't know how the whole conception process works.

But then again, we are talking about a trio of people who put the most minimal effort into ensuring the pregnancy would succeed in the first place and decided to completely wing it on the delivery and parenting. I'll never understand how people go "I'm gonna have a whole ass baby and not look into how any of it works or how to handle a tiny squirming human" - I guess it says something for the resilience of babies that Hannah's doing kinda OK despite everything though.

Yeah, a person I am close to has experienced nine miscarriages, one approaching the date of viability, and has had to get two D&Cs and use abortion pills once in order to expel dead fetal tissue (she got a huge amount of shit from the pharmacist, too, and she is not someone who exaggerates or lies like Becky, she kept very quiet about it except to a couple of close friends and her husband). My friend is pregnant again and closer to term than she's ever been, and keeping absolutely silent about it all because she's so terrified that saying one positive, hopeful word will be the moment it all crashes down again. Even if she ends up with a nice healthy full termer, she's going to have psychological damage for life over the four years of trauma it took to get there, but I know her, and I know she'll move forward as best she can with optimism and dignity.

Meanwhile Becky thinks she's so entitled to get whatever she wants that it's a miscarriage and a trauma every time the IVF didn't work. Seeing the contrast between her and a normal woman who just happened to end up with the worst luck imaginable is startling every time. If she gets knocked up by Sam with no interventions, I'll feel furious on behalf of all the women who actually suffer from long-term infertility and mourn every loss.

Becky could be misusing terms here since she's shit at polyamory in general, but assuming she's using it correctly, "metamour" refers to your partner's partner, someone you're not dating. So for example, a hypothetical girlfriend of Jackson's and a hypothetical girlfriend of Sam's becoming friends.
