In all honesty to Russia these things matter more than the Donbas and Crimea:
- Crimea's naval base (allowing Russia to defend Syria).
- Ukrainian neutrality & demilitarization, no NATO.

Any peace attained without permanent implementation (not just promises) of the latter will mean that that Ukraine will remain a softspot in Russia's geographical defenses, the equivalent of Cuba and the risk that its missiles posed to the continental US.

Such a peace is unlikely to last long.

The only way that this doesn't go to appeal is if Merchan gives Trump's team exactly what they ask for; that the original indictment be vacated, which wipes the indictment and arrest off the face of the Earth.

Anything less and Trump will go ahead and appeal, and oh we have to also assume that Bragg won't appeal either, despite being a retarded nigger. Of course, if Merchan does this he is admitting that the entire indictment/trial was improper from the start, which obviously leads to the question of why did he allow it to proceed in the first place. It would be a huge embarrassment, he would basically be forced to confess to being a politically motivated operator, and shame his court and the appeals court that refused all interlocutory appeals.

There is no option for Judge Merchan that doesn't end in some kind of shitstorm, because he aimed for the king and fucking missed.

Who is going to keep him accountable? The number one priority for most judges is make sure they have the power to do what they want. He will not be censured, he will not be punished, he will not be disbarred. Not that he went for it to begin with. Him refusing to do this likely would have visited more real world consequences on him than not doing this.

Judicial tyranny is a major issue. This case wont do shit to stop it. The issue is the whole judicial system is a pane of glass. Judges dont actually have power, the smart ones realize that if it comes to "call it" they cant do shit against people with real power. But the people with real power can use them to hurt their lessers so its fine for now. But so far nobody has been willing to call it, and this case isnt going to be the one to do so.

I live next to a preserve, so i see squirrels all the time, but this year they've been more "chatty" than usual.

Most of the time it's the birds (regular small brown ones, sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, etc...) that you hear on a daily basis, but these squirrels have been screaming their fucking heads off and it sometimes lasts like a half hour.

Before I moved to where I currently am, I had no idea squirrels even made sounds to begin with. Now that I know they do, I kinda wish I didn't cause they always sound like they are in pain.

One time I saw 2 squirrels fucking and the one was screaming like a porno when suddenly the bitch feel out of the tree right in front of me. Bro was screaming noooooooooo like Darth Vader. The fallen squirrel popped right back up and ran up the tree to keep fucking.
