I don't know who most of these faggots are, but I do recognize Bill Nye the science guy... Obviously, he has no qualifications at all for saying that the world is about to end. He isn't even a real scientist.

He is and always has been at best a mediocre engineer, who had a decent children's show decades ago now, which was used to teach a classroom by lazy/hungover teachers, and he's done fuck all of note since then... Unless we're counting that time when he tried to explain "butt stuff" on that cringy as fuck netflix show, already also now several years ago at this point.

Bill Nye is a joke at the expense of science. He represents the worst aspects of the modern scientific community, he's to scientists what the Big Bang Theory show was to science. An actor who took advantage of childhood nostalgia to push a political agenda, pushing ideas not driven by facts or research but purely by whoever's funding him. His own arguments today directly contradict the facts he'd present on his children's show. He's not a scientist, he just plays one on tv. I lost all respect for him years ago during one of his global warming debates. I didn't even have a strong opinion about the subject at the time, I just thought his argumentation was so slimy and unintelligent. He was debating on some cable news channel, I can't remember who his opponent was but he opened by saying "Well, first of all he shouldn't be debating me, he should be debating me and the entire scientific community because there is broad and total consensus on this topic. There is no debate."

That's not an argument, that's a logical fallacy. Several, in fact. Appeal to popularity, appeal to authority, appeal to ridicule even. It wasn't even true, there have always been dissenting voices in the scientific community, but let's say there was complete, 100% consensus. He should be aware that was once true about the belief that the Earth was flat, that the Sun revolved around the Earth, that flies spontaneously emerged from rotting meat. No more valuable than the consensus at one time that the cure for any mental illness was an ice pick to the brain.
