Bush also had a major figure in the Media push a hoax right before an election purely to try to sabotage him, faking documents and pushing a narrative to de-legitimize his national guard service. That's honestly on par with the Steele Dossier they pulled on Trump.

Funnily enough, I remember telling some lefty guy I worked with back then that in 10 years the left would be praising Bush. He thought I was nuts, but I'd already seen the pattern of leftist rhetoric and knew that they'd just find another Republican to hate.

Crazy as it sounds now, I fully expect in 10 years or so we'll have journalists whining about how the new GOP candidate "is no uniting Trump or Reagan figure, he's a hate-filled Hitler youth wannabe warmonger!"

I might have a university degree now, but that is only because I had an accident. So, I had to do something while I recovered. I am from a poor and working-class family. Most of my friends are still blue-collar workers, and I respect everyone. Whether you are a sewage worker, garbage man, McDonald's employee, or anything else, I respect all of it. Work is work, and you deserve decent pay for your efforts.

Rich people will need to pay more for native people to do it instead of illegal immigrants, legal immigrants can stay and do those jobs no problem. If illegals are willing to do the work why not native/legals? It's not like living expenses for illegal immigrants is lower than the poorest legal immigrant/native.

Its been fascinating for me to watch this guy absolutely fall apart. I started watching him back in what feels like the pre trump era, when he was just calling out shitty kickstarters and vaporware magical tech solutions. There is still a significant portion of the population that believe that anything is more 'true' if it comes from an 'expert' even if their expertise is completely unrelated. The sooner people realize that being good at engineering has no correlation with understanding other complex systems, the sooner we'll all be better off.

Yes, but if an internal input is not the same price as the external one. Now there are more screw manufacturers in America doing their thing, but if you cut away outside competition and limit it to internal, you also see consolidation and monopolizing.

Lower energy prices/regulations will cut into the increased costs. It's not like the economy is going to be completely stagnant if not getting worse like it has been but there's tariffs if something isn't built in the US on top of it

Trump has boasted that he plans to fire Smith “within two seconds” of taking office and has also made other threatening remarks about the special counsel, including that he should be arrested.

The New York Times first reported the development.

Smith on Friday asked for a suspension of deadlines in his election interference case against Trump, noting both the unprecedented nature of a president entering office while facing charges as well as a Justice Department (DOJ) memo barring the prosecution of a sitting president.

The government needs “time to assess this unprecedented circumstance and determine the appropriate course going forward consistent with Department of Justice policy,” the department wrote.

The DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel advises against the criminal prosecution of a sitting president, concluding in 1973 that “criminal prosecution of a sitting President would impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions.”

Smith’s office declined to comment.

The Times reported that other members of Smith’s team are likewise planning to resign.

Smith has a number of avenues for how he can wind down his work, including issuing a report summarizing his investigations. Special counsels submit their report to the attorney general, who in turn must decide whether to release it to the public.

“I think he knows it is inevitable that Donald Trump will pull the plug on the case, and so I think he wants to explore ways to end the case on his own terms, rather than wait for that to happen,” Barbara McQuade, a former U.S. attorney under the Obama administration, previously told The Hill.

So much for having any sort of conviction. Were I a lawyer pursuing a case I believed in, I would not back down even in the face of insurmountable political opposition. This should be a sign to everyone that Jack Smith is a hack and the case he worked on was a bullshit political hit job from the beginning. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who says "wElL tRuMp WoUlD sHuT iT dOwN aNyWaY" is a true NPC and should not be regarded as a human being.

Having conversations with young leftists is confusing as fuck. Most of them are unaware that they hold two contradicting views at once:
a.) The labor force and working class are the backbone of American society and need to be valued and trusted.
b.) The labor force and the working class are uneducated and unintelligent, and it's looked down upon to hold a normal, working-class job.
In an earlier post on this site, I shit on a black-studies major who I said would end up as a barista. I probably should have worded it better (unconscious bias and all that). Theres nothing wrong with "ending up as a barista." However, if you go into black-studies, you should be highly aware of your limited job prospects. Unless you're secretly giving the University president handjobs in his office every Tuesday at 6 PM, you're probably not going to end up getting a well paying, knowledge driven job.
What I'm getting at is get the fuck over yourself man. Concrete workers and farmers and coffee-makers drive our fucking economy. Why give that role, that responsibility to someone who isn't even an American?
