What are you talking about? Poland emerged as a kingdom (recognized by both the Pope and Holy Roman Emperor, AKA the two biggest bigwigs in all of Christian Europe at the time) in the early 1000s under the long-lived Piast dynasty and remained a distinct political & ethnic unit even through a near-200-year period of political fragmentation from 1138 to 1320. It had already pulled itself back together, become a kingdom again and gone through periodic unions with Bohemia & Hungary for another 200 years before it merged with Lithuania (which was 'only' at the rank of a Grand Duchy) to form the Commonwealth in 1569.

Except there was a "Crown of Poland" that existed since the 11th century as a coherent entity. It continued to exist when its nobles voted the Grand Duke of Lithuania their king, and also when its nobles rescued it from liberal French revolutionary anarchy by voting the Russian tsar its king. It formed a separate administrative area with its own laws. You will find ample references to Poles in contemporary sources in all languages.

There are no references to Ukrainians, because the concept of the Ukraine did not exist before the 19th century at earliest. Everything else is a reference to "borderlands" and "borderlanders" (which is where the term "Ukraine" came from). These borderlanders considered themselves Russians whose occupation was "cossack" i.e. brotherhoods of frontiersmen. It was called "Little Russia" (Malorossiya) because it was smaller than Russia and recently annexed from Poland and the Tatars. The closest thing to "Ukraine" was Galicians...but Galicians also considered themselves Russians before the 19th century even if they followed the Uniate churches.

I'd love to see the NFA Registry reopened for a year to get more legal full-auto guns into circulation. For those who don't know you can legally buy machine guns but you can only buy one that was already registered with the ATF and that registry was closed in 1986 meaning nothing produced since 1986 is eligible, the total number of eligible items is constantly decreasing and prices are astronimical ($20k and up for garbage). Unfortunately the biggest opposition to this will come from the 2A supporters with hundreds of thousands of dollars "invested" in their machine gun collections.
