Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

This video had me going wtf for a second. I was wondering how the fuck that pitbull teleported out of the elevator to lunge at the shepherd a second time as the door opened but after a few viewing I realized that fucking retarded bitch had two pitbulls.

God I fucking hate these people.

That's a neat party trick... to use on her.

in the UK a Pitbull eats another child, after a 10 year old girl was mauled to death by her family's loving mutt in north Yorkshire. The BBC refused to clarify that the dog is a shitbull, whereas other tabloids like the daily mail have openly referred to the dog as an XL bully. Will add links to articles later.

What possible reason could they have for this kind of BS? It's not like Pitbulls are in any way uniquely loving or worthy of having as a pet by dog standards to offset the risks. They're just incredibly unpredictable and violent. I can think of absolutely no moral arguments why they should be allowed as pets besides just wanting to make the advocate's neighborhood less safe and dividing people over an obviously manufactured outrage, by even entertaining their attempts at arguments we grant them too much dignity. They must either be 1. the dumbest mother-fuckers on planet earth or 2. actually pure evil, knowingly spreading misinformation just to make everyday life less enjoyable and safe.
Then again; it's the british media so option 2 seems pretty likely

Why? Because these fucking mongoloids like owning a dog with the capacity and propensity to kill other dogs and people.

It's a show of control, power and strength from people who otherwise would have none in their lives. "Look at the size of the dog I can control". It's a status symbol of the worst kind. The fact that they have no such control is irrelavent. It's all for show. Until it's eating your family and you sob about not being aware of the dangers in the tabloids to try to avoid blame for your rancid lack of decision making skills.

They may talk about how 'loving' their nightmare nanny dogs are but that's not what is attracting them to these animals. Its because theyre fucking killers.

The mother of this dead child, for instance, had boasted on social media about having just acquired an XL bully.

Every single one of these fucking dogs needs shooting tomorrow and if their cunt owners complain, shoot them too. Fuck them all. Twats.

The tabloids really just put it all out in the open lol. Here's the difference in titles I found

People.com : 10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Bitten by Family Dog in 'Out-of-Character' Attack

The Sun : Mum screamed ‘my baby’s dead’ as girl, 10, killed by XL Bully weeks after excitedly telling friends about her ‘new pet’

Have to laugh at the "out of character" remark. Like bitch... you only had the mutt for a few weeks you don't know what that things character was.

The bigger one wasn't protecting, I think it just didn't want to share.
Also don't let your kids smack dogs in the face like that, at least attempt to teach them the proper way to give nice headpats. Not like it matters with pitbulls, they'll eat you regardless, but it at least saves annoying other breeds to the point of nipping.

I just got news from a distant relative who is a retired academic, and lives in a community of same, that one of her friends just "rescued" a shelter pitbull.

Of course, she can't control it and it immediately tried to eat her cats.

So she keeps it caged up, which will no doubt only help its temperament.

From what I've heard? Several times she's penned it up so she can run errands, and returned to find the entire cage in a different room... meaning the dog thrashed against it hard enough that it legit hopped down the hall like a boxed Tasmanian Devil in a Bugs Bunny cartoon...

Of course, she's convinced with a little more love, it'll be fine to introduce it to the other pets in the neighborhood, they're looking forward to it.

You can hear the counter from "24" just ticking down on this one.....

And then when it inevitably ends up back in the shelter, “poor Twinklebell is reactive because her previous owner abused her!!”

When my kids were really little and hadn't learned yet, that was the nice thing about having a regular dog. We were always able to tell them, "if they bite, that's your fault." Because a normal family pet will never lash out unless provoked to an extreme degree by children being mean beyond a reasonable measure. When pregnant the dogs were incredibly protective to the point maintenance men couldn't walk in the house and then always stood between them and the babies. But they would nip when the kids were annoying while still putting up with all kinds of climbing on and hair pulling.

A pibble would have made so many meals out of my house.

Most dogs are smart enough to tell that small humans are our pups and they tend to be surprisingly more patient and accepting of a little heavy handedness than they would be with an adult.

Hell, I've even seen it with our usually cantankerous tom cat in how he responded to our daughter as a toddler; I remember finding him holding her head between his paws and her frozen in big wobbly eyed terror, his claws were out but not digging into her skin, after a tail pull that would have earned an absolute clawing if it had come from my husband or myself. Mammals bred to live alongside us know the difference by instinct.

There's something wrong with pitbulls. Even my mothers terrier, who has an incredible prey drive, tolerated said enthusiastic toddler, so you can't blame it on that either. On that note pibbles don't look after their own pups well, they seem to have had all the maternal instinct or pack sensibility bred clean out of them.

How the hell did we take something as brilliantly adapted as dogs and fuck them up that badly?

What makes it even worse is that emotionally, borzoi are very sensitive dogs. To the point where even a normal family will be miserable for them if they yell a lot.
I believe that borzoi (my favorite breed) are referred to as the most "catlike" dogs for this very reason. They can be very "talkative" but for the most part are silent. They will spend most of their time lounging on the sofa as long as they get to run around for like an hour a day. I think most sighthounds are considered to be "couch potatoes."

God bless the borzoi.

Muslims in Europe encounter the pitbull (link/archive):

This young woman is walking her dog in Berlin...a Muslim stronghold! Dogs are considered "Haram" in Islam
There is a community note that says the video is in Cologne at the corner of Schildergasse / Gürzenichstraße, but it doesn't matter. There's no violence, but the Muslims noticeably step away from it.
