Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Staffies are patient 0 of gamebred fighting Terriers. They are literally the original fighting dog all these shitbull offshoots spawned from. Staffies just have shorter legs. My theory is Brits are only OK banning shit with America in the name

My coworker has some kind of short-legged shitbull mix because their family was outside grilling or something one day when a car drove by and literally chucked the dog out the window. Someone ran over and found the dog, who IIRC was not a year old yet, with severe road rash, two missing teeth that had been knocked out prior, a swollen eye that was later removed, and several more assorted injuries. It was also emaciated, which does not happen overnight. It is partially blind and walks with a limp, which is probably why it hasn't mauled anyone yet.

Moral of the story is, regardless of if the dog was a failed fighter, attacked a human, attacked an animal, or was purely a victim of abusive assholes, nobody hates pits more than the people that breed and own them. The people that breed them hate them the most of course; most importantly is the people that refuse to get their street-bred maulers fixed. The humane thing to do is to either shoot the dog or take it to be put down at the vet.

Not to be all "we need more laws and shit" but it really needs to be illegal to manufacture fake service animal vests and patches. Think of all the money and resources that go into breeding and training real service animals and how hard it is for people to get them, only for some shelter "ESA" shitbull to get treated the same because its "dog mommy" paid $20 for a vest on Amazon and public workers are too lazy or scared to ask them to show their registration.

You would think the AAPD and similar organizations would be pushing really hard for this but for some reason they aren't. I guess they're too afraid or lazy to tell all of these supposedly grown adults who need to cart around unruly, unkempt mutts everywhere because of "muh angzietees" to fuck off. There isn't enough pushback against the ESA retards.

Plymouth father survives brutal attack by neighbor's pit bulls​

A father is recounting a vicious pit bull attack he suffered in front of his home in Plymouth this week.

Emil Mammadov had pieces of his face torn off and needed stitches all over his body after two of his neighbor's dogs jumped him Monday around midnight.

Mammadov is Azerbaijani and doesn't speak much English, so his daughter, Fatima Mammadova, translated for him when he spoke to WCCO.

"The dogs were all aiming at his neck, and he just didn't care much about the rest of his body," Fatima Mammadova said. "He was trying to protect his neck. And he knows that those dogs are very aggressive."

Mammadov's wife, Ilaha Mammadova, and his daughter ran outside when they heard his agony.

"He was screaming from like the last bits from his lungs that he had left, like all his power, to tell [my mother and sister] to stay away also from the dogs," Fatima Mammadova said.

They turned on some lights, and the dogs ran off.

"The moment that changed the willpower inside of him was when he saw my mom and my sister," Fatima Mammadova said. "That gave him more power to get up."

Plymouth police are investigating the attack. No arrests have been made.

The Mammadovs say both pit bulls, plus two more, have been taken from their neighbors and put in quarantine.

"Hopefully they're not going to come back because they are not really safe for our community," said Ilaha Mammadova. "Most of the time they are on no leashes, walking in their backyard all the time, and we have so many kids around, biking, running around, playing."

Mammadov will be out of his job as a professional chef for at least a few weeks. But he says this incident has shown him how strong he is.

"He has four kids," said Fatima Mammadova. "He needs to raise them, and he kept fighting just for us."

Ilaha Mammadova shared the first thing her husband said when he got to the emergency room.

"He said that it's good that it was me, not the kids, because they [wouldn't] survive," she said.

Toddler dies after pit bull attack in Newark​

An 18-month-old girl died Tuesday night after she was mauled by a pit bull in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where she was pronounced dead, according to Thomas S. Fennelly, chief assistant prosecutor.

Investigators said the girl was attacked at or near a home on Second Avenue near Wakeman Avenue, officials said.

The prosecutor’s office did not release exactly where or when the attack occurred or who owned the dog. Fennelly said members of the prosecutor’s homicide task force are investigating the death.

NYC pizzeria worker clinging to life after customer’s vicious pit bull goes on the attack​

A Manhattan pizzeria worker was mauled by an irate customer’s pit bull during a vicious beatdown late Monday that was sparked because the dog wasn’t allowed in the shop, cops and sources said.

The 50-year-old worker at Roma Pizzeria clung to life Tuesday as the pit bull’s owner, Tyshaun Watson, 35, was slapped with an attempted murder charge for allegedly pummeling the employee — later saying he was “sorry” when he was cuffed, cops said.

Surveillance video captured a merciless attack by Watson after he walked into the Flatiron eatery along Fifth Avenue with his pit bull about 10 p.m., sources said.

The pizzeria worker tried to wave off Watson for bringing his dog inside, sparking a heated argument, according to sources. Watson flew into a rage, kicking and punching the worker, cops said.

Watson dragged the worker from the pizzeria, body-slammed him onto a sidewalk and punched him several times before backing away, the video showed.

The pit bull then joined the melee, hopping ontop of the victim and biting him several times all over his body, according to the video and sources. Watson also went back and kicked the worker in the head several times, the video shows.​


The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, cops said.

He was intubated and unconscious Tuesday morning, sources said.

Watson was charged with attempted murder and assault with attempt to cause disfigurement or dismemberment, police said.

As Watson headed to a Manhattan court Tuesday afternoon, he told reporters he was sorry.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the victim,” he said. “I wish him a speedy recovery.”

Asked if he meant to do it, he replied, “Absolutely not. That’s not me.”

The New Jersey man has only one prior arrest in the Big Apple — for criminal possession of stolen property in 2008, sources said.

Timmy Moha, 28, who has worked at the pizzeria for about a year, told The Post he believes the victim staffed the shop with one other man Monday night.

“I haven’t spoken to him [but] I know he’s hooked up to machines,” Moha said. “From what I heard, he’s doing better, he’s doing good.”

Though the stop is located on the Big Apple’s iconic Fifth Avenue — across the street from luxury clothing and jewelry stores — he said safety has become a concern in the neighborhood at night.

“You know it’s Fifth Avenue, it’s a nice area, but the city is not as safe even here,” he said. “Around the block there’s robberies and such. Especially at night, it’s not as safe.”

But things have never escalated to the level of Monday night’s violence, he noted.

Stephen Sonkin, who lives next to the shop, called the incident “terrible.”

“They’re really nice guys that work there,” Sonkin said. “I know the ownership too. I have a space upstairs and I bump into them a lot. Just really surprised.”

“I mean it’s Fifth Avenue, right?” he added. “So I feel like when I walk down here, everyone’s very civilized and I never really see many pit bulls walking down the street. So it’s definitely shocking to me.”

XL bully put down after 'brutal' attack​

An XL bully which was saved from being put down earlier this year has now been destroyed after it "brutally" attacked another dog, police have said.
A court order was made to destroy the dog after its owner in Sheffield failed to register it as a dangerous breed when a strict new law came into effect in February.
It was allowed to return home after its owner successfully appealed, but she called police on 10 October to report it had savaged another dog at her home and she was afraid for her children.
South Yorkshire Police said the dog had cost the force and tax payers thousands of pounds, adding that even if a dangerous breed was returned to its owner, it did not make it "safe".

'Ongoing efforts'​

South Yorkshire Police said the dog had been held in the force's kennels earlier this year after its owner failed to register it when the American XL bully ban came into force in England and Wales on 1 February.
The case was taken to court and in May a judge granted a destruction order on the dog before the owner's appeal was successful and it was returned to the family home.
However, following the incident on 10 October, the dog had been put down with the owner's consent, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Ch Insp Emma Cheney said: “The kennelling cost for the dog was more than £2,500, in addition to court costs, and further expense of police officers’ time, response and now the veterinary fees to destroy the dog."

'Take precaution'​

Ch Insp Cheney said the South Yorkshire force was "working hard to prevent injury from dangerous dogs to our communities", but still needed people's help.
“Our ongoing efforts are having a positive impact, and this year we have seen a reduction in serious injury caused by dogs."
Dog owners needed to be "vigilant" and aware of their pets' characteristics, she added.
"As with any dog, you need to take precaution and be realistic about your dog’s ability to cause harm.”

Pit bull who bit 4-year-old child also involved in other recent incidents, police say​

The pit bull that attacked a 4-year-old girl in Ellicott City on Wednesday has been involved in at least three other biting incidents, 11 News has learned.

The girl is in stable condition, according to the Howard County Police Department.


"It's just hard to feel safe just walking outside my building," said a resident who experienced a prior dog attack.

There have been at least four dog attacks in the span of a month and a half, police said.

Two pit bulls and a lab mix escaped from an Ellicott City apartment. Police said they ran over to a girl playing outside and at least one bit her badly.

Animal Control took two of the dogs, but one of the pit bulls is still missing.

"I heard yesterday the screaming in my apartment. I look out the window, and I see these three dogs running around and someone trying to get them away from something," a neighbor said.

A woman who wished to remain anonymous said she not only saw Wednesday's attack, but her puppy was also a victim nine days ago.

"The dogs jumping up on my fiance. My fiance is carrying the dog. The owner is just standing by her porch, not moving at all," the neighbor said.

Their puppy had to get stitches and has since recovered.

But 11 News has learned, since Aug. 27 and before last night, Animal Control has been notified of three different incidents involving one of the pit bulls now in custody. Police said the previous calls were for attacks on other dogs.

"There's a procedure that Animal Control takes by Howard County code where they escalate what they're able to do. They were in that process since the end of August with one of these dogs," Howard County police spokesman Seth Hoffman told 11 News.

The owner of the three dogs involved spoke with 11 News, saying she rescued all three dogs from a shelter and that they were fosters until recently, when she adopted them.

She said the dogs had no history of aggressive behavior when she took them in, and that the change in behavior started in August, at which time, she said she sought resources for the dogs after an attack.

The owner told 11 News she is a friend of the 4-year-old girl's family and is heartbroken over the incident. The owner said she was grabbing a gift for the girl when the dogs escaped through the door.

She said the dog that bit the girl was a 1-year-old pit bull that she had for about a year. The other dog was a 1-year-old lab mix that she had since he was 3 months old. She confirmed that those two of the dogs have been laid down and the third, a 2-year-old pit bull, ran off.

The owner told 11 News she is fully cooperating with Animal Control and the investigation.

Police said they're still determining whether there will be charges, and they did not release the name of the dog's owner.

5-year-old girl in coma from vicious dog attack, community raises money to support family​

A 5-year-old girl in Independence was mauled by a pit bull while playing in her backyard.

Aletha is in Children’s Mercy Hospital fighting for her life in a medically-induced coma.
She suffered a skull fracture, broken collarbone, broken rib, and a significant loss of blood and oxygen from the attack. Doctors fear permanent brain damage.

A GoFundMe created by a co-worker of Aletha's father has been circulating to gain support for the family.

"Thomas has said she’s strong," said Andy Davies, a co-worker. "That’s one of the reasons they’re encouraged because they know she’s gonna fight."

While Aletha’s father, Thomas, is taking time off to focus on her care, his co-workers began raising money to support the family with all the financial obligations coming their way.

"We’re a small company ... a mom-and-pop. We try to treat each other like family and look out for each other," Davies said. "Thomas is going to have to take some time off work, and we want to make things as easy as possible. We know there will be expenses that come up."

The family is spending every moment by their daughter’s side as the community helps them — and Aletha — through this.

"She’s just a little girl. That’s a reason we wanted to do it," Davies said. "I think you think about even if you don’t have kids, if you have a kid who is grown, younger, a niece or nephew, whether you’re older and have grandkids, friends who have kids ... this hits close to home."

Aletha remains in a coma, but doctors are hopeful she will pull through.

The goal for the fundraiser is $100,000 to support medical and other financial expenses with her care.

You don't need a service vest for a service dog. The reason why companies can manufacture a service vest for anyone is because of the ADA which makes it so that people with real disabilities have easier access for identifying their dog if they choose to. Unfortunately, assholes will abuse this just like there will be humans that abuse anything. Service dogs also don't need registration papers. If you see someone showing you them, they're more than likely fake. Yes, service dogs who were trained by professionals from puppies will get a certification of graduation paper from the program, which you can carry around a copy of, but it's not legally required to carry. People CAN train their own dog to task as a service dog under the ADA because the cost of a service dog trained by a professional is so prohibitive ($25-35k) and the wait list is 3-5 years now for a service dog. But you HAVE TO HAVE A DISABILITY.

There was a fat dude on a motorized wheelchair that passed me a week ago. He had a pitbull with him. he said it was his service dog. We talked a bit, and then he said his dog would attack others if they attempt to attack him. That it's trained to do that. It's like bruh.... No. A service dog legally cannot be trained to attack other people. It's legally not a service dog if it attacks on command. A service dog CANNOT bring harm to any other human. Not even in defense of the human. I fucking hate these mongoloids who think that they have a service dog just because it makes them feel good.
