"Post your Art" Thread

I did a human-stone-fungus mashup.

I'll give all my tendies to anyone who can tell me what the two fungi depicted are

Also I drew some Pokemon wrapping paper for a friends birthday:

This one's under a spoiler because it's not mine and also I've been clogging the thread enough.

Tbh I don't think it was worth what he paid for it. The girl is a lazy artist and despite being given references didn't include most of the salient details of the illustration.

I know it seems unnecessarily harsh / unprofessional but he made the mistake of telling me how much he paid and I wasn't impressed.
How much did he pay for it?

this is part of a mediocre "drama" series of mine which tl;dr is a massive dump on Dreaming Of Utopia.
I was inspired by MS Paint Adventures (the good ones, mind you, not Tumblr: The Comic) and the a e s t h e t i c of MTV's Sex2k.

He did it to get under your skin. That's the only explanation when you can get art for free from someone.

Xianghua painting. My last drawing for the year. Not sure if it'd be worth 80$ tho

Awesome! You're really getting the hang of digital painting. But I would like to ask: Do you ever horizontally flip your art perioditically when you are painting it? It seems inconsequential, but doing that can expose anatomy errors that aren't apparent

Far be it from me to even know where to start drawing a pose that complicated, but I don't think that lower leg looks right, when it looks generally right when not flipped. Anyway, something to consider.

Oh, my God - I LOVE it! I shall have it printed, framed and hung on the wall directly opposite my bed, as a constant reminder of the consequences of arrogance, idleness and self-entitlement. (A big, sexy, katana-wielding bitch will come and plant a dagger in my skull! Or worse, I'll spend the rest of my life fapping to lesbians and arguing on twitter... *shudders*)

Thank you, @Curt Sibling! :heart-full:

Thanks, @Silvana!
The hilarious thing is, a better cartoonist than Dobson would use a bimbo character to subtly underline the flaws in that kind of comic.
But, not our Tommy Preston...No! Better to create teeth-grindingly annoying strips that drip with salt and bitterness...!

Yes - I've thought the same! Like, he could create a wicked parody making fun of the sexism (such as it is) in female superhero comics, the breasts-and-butt close-ups, the corny old cliches... (I don't read comics, I'm afraid, but I imagine that "Kill Bill" business of landing in a coma then returning to wreak a terrible revenge is something that's been done to death...) And yes, lots of room for lesbian fetish fuel! He could have so much fun making something of that nature... But will he? No. Easier by far to debate the merits of - well, whatever it is he's currently bitching about on twitter...

I tend to aim for exaggeration in my posing and anatomy (not to mention still learning how to push poses to their limit), so I expect things like this to look off in certain areas. I'm also still understanding how to draw out anatomy when it's being squashed/stretched, so I probably have mad an error in that attempt.

To me the flipped view seems fine, I wanted the lower leg to have a sort of curvy design to help with following the details from left foot to right foot. It could also be that the perspective is hard to tell as there's no definitive background to it (her pose is supposed to be at a 45-75 degree angle with the "camera" looking down at her)

I could be wrong tho and you have more of an idea on this :x and ty for looking at it and giving your thoughts <3

Thank you for always considering them. :heart-full: I firmly believe that any feedback is always better than none. I definitely wish I got more.

Now that you brought up the lack of a definite background, I'm leaning more towards that that could be distorting it and making me think it looks off.
