I have some Indians on my street. One of my kids was playing around in the neighborhood and ended up going to the Indian family's house. I'd never really spoken to them but they have 4 kids under 10 years old and my kid is also in that age range.

Anyway I go to tell her to come home and the second the door opens I smell nothing but pungent curry. This is a 3000 SQFT house and it stunk of curry so deeply it was overhwelming and I could smell it from the door. Like a backdraft of curry stench. I don't even mind eating curry sometimes but it was so strong. Like imagine your house reeking of anything to such a degree that you just feel smell overload and physically makes your nostrils tingle. I've never cooked anything that permeated my house like that it was unbelievable.

They must just be completely immune to it because the strength of it I can only compare to being in a tiny closed room burning a dozen incense candles or something. It was THAT strong.

Your kid didn’t mind the smell? I know kids can be surprisingly resilient in some ways but I can’t imagine a 9 year old enduring that awful stench for too long without making up some excuse and leaving.
