Vox made a short about the "Blue Wall" falling. The gist is that Trump "flipped" all swing states, plus Nevada, winning him the popular vote.

They just can't help fucking around. It's not good enough to win (even though how they've "beat" Jones is the worst miscarrage of justice in modern history), they have to double-plus win.

So there was an "auction" but it was a secret auction, the judge refused to allow bids over a certain amount, and then gave it to the Onion even though it was less than the high bid because the high bid was one of Jones' allies, or somesuch. The Onion not actually having the cash isn't surprising (since they haven't had a funny article in at least 12 years) but I'm sure they could find an ally to give loan it to them.

The vibe I get is the Sandy Hook activists were working with the judge to hand pick the "winner" of the "auction" for maximum hurt they could cause Jones.

If he drags this shit out until January, I wonder if things could flip hard with the new admin coming into power.

The Judge isn't happy and wants a full audit of everything that's gone down, which is not exactly how anti-right wing lawfare tactics from the left are supposed to be handled when other judges encounter them. He's supposed to nod, smile, and hit Jones with a 150 million dollar fine for vexatious litigation and block him from ever using the legal system without permission (which he will never be granted) ever again.

A few days after Trump wins, the judge who was more than happy to go along with the ruining of Alex's life, is now suddenly worried about being fair to both sides.

This begs the question of why he's going against it now. Is it to give his procedures an air of legitimacy? To ensure nothing will get overturned later? Maybe his anger at Jones has turned towards the Onion for what they did.

Is it the same judge? I thought this was a bankruptcy judge, not the little jewish shitweasel that pulled the "The Government has the documents that The Government is demanding you hand over which means you can't hand them over so you're automatically guilty of not handing over the stuff in The Government's possession to The Government, and thus you automatically are guilty and aren't allowed to defend yourself in any way, so I can just make up a random number in damages to destroy you" trick.

We used to lynch men for less.

He had no legal standing "to go against it" before. He's a federal bankruptcy court judge, not a trial or appellate judge. He had to accept the verdicts of the trials in Texas and Connecticut and follow the law, which says that since the trial verdicts were that Jones acted with "malice," he can't get out of paying the damages by declaring bankruptcy

He does have standing to determine how Jones' assets are transferred to the plaintiffs, whether directly or through liquidation, and the federal trustee he appointed didn't follow his directions wrt that so he's pissed

This judge is a specific bankruptcy judge different from the court judge, and I'm appreciating his style.
