Most of us have seen the Post-election tweets of Liberals melting down and refusing to go to Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even speak to their Conservative family members again. I myself have lost friends of 8+ years to this election, simply because they remembered I voted Trump in 2016, and subsequently blocked me on every social media.

I believe this post-election meltdown is less reactionary and more calculated. 4B, cutting off family, ridiculing minorities, the whole nine yards. I thought it was just crazy radicals at first, but it has started to affect me in my own personal life. My liberal friends are going into rumor mill mode and starting an inquisition for any Conservatives, shunning them socially. They have been left to stew in hate and inflammatory news for 8 years, and this reaction is much more harsh and cold blooded than 2016.

I remember 2016 being an outward display of confusion, rage, and coping. The Left was shocked that Trump voters existed, and were then forced to go back to work and live amongst them. This time, it seems like they are fully committing to alienating everyone different than them, and burning all bridges.

Have you had any experience with friends or family cutting you out? Do you feel that this election reaction is worse than 2016? Will this attitude destroy the Democrat party over the next 4 years?

Nigger my family still treats me like a Pariah because I wouldn't get the fucking clot-shot. Still not getting it though, I prefer the beating heart I have now as opposed to one in cardiac arrest pumped full of RNA editors.

What a crappy """friends""", I would not call anyone a friend if they did that, ever, they're acquaintances at most.

Imagine what a crybaby you have to be to block someone you've known and interacted for almost a decade just because you participated in the elections of your country in a way they didn't like.

This is in a way good, you don't need people like this in your life, I certainly don't. I despise the idea of being surrounded by disgusting, hypocritical, ignorant man/womanbabies, that are way more intolerant and (in a lot of cases) way more racist/sexist than the people they hate.

Leftists are terrible people and will worship their false gods, be it homosexuality or kamala harris/dick Cheney above ALL else

It really is like religious zealotry. Leftists were supposed to be the party of science and rationale, yet when their ideology is threatened, they become zealous followers lashing out and trying to socially destroy their opposition. The mask keeps slipping in every single aspect. I truly believe Liberalism attracts amoral people who just want to appear virtuous. At every chance they act subhuman and outright evil when they feel virtue is behind them.

The vaccine shunning is retarded too. I hope we can swing the pendulum back and outwardly shame such an attitude.

Leftists are proven to have more mental illnesses and generally unhappier than everyone else.
Let them fall deeper into the hole, maybe with luck they will give a blowjob to a loaded shotgun.

"You get what you fucking deserve" is the theme of this election. I am sad over losing friends, but if their heart was really so black as to drop me completely for 2% of my personality, they deserve the results they got.

I was also blocked by the majority of and removed from a discord with a lot of mutual friends. I had 2 actual friends there that dropped me, but one of them asked me outright if I voted for Trump a couple days ago. Being asked point blank, I thought, as my friend, they were going to ask why or find common ground since we had known each other for 4 years. Instead, they said " I need to remove you from the server and stop talking to you, the server has a lot of LGBTQ members and we don't feel safe with someone in the server who voted against our rights."

All we did in there was play minecraft and shit, I never spoke about politics and never mentioned the election. I really believe these sheltered discord people are just accelerating their bubble.

I had my best friend from childhood into adulthood cut all contact with me in 2017 for voting incorrectly. I was in the dude's wedding and have attended all of his major life events.

I haven't spoken a single word to him going on 8 years. I do however visit his mom still when I go visit my siblings. As she still lives on the same street we grew up on. Which I find funny in its own way.

It happened in 2015, before the current hysteria of today. My best friend cut me off because I was starting to change my views and shifting rightwards (or more appropriately said, the overton window was moving too far left and I wasn't willing to move with it). The thing is that he wasn't even politically brained, we rarely discussed politics and for the most part he was what could be considered a centrist — except that turned out to be wrong. That incident really turned my entire concept of human dynamics upside-down.

This is a fairly good blogpost related to what’s going on. Is this like 2016? It is, but it’s different this time. Not just in terms of energy and passion. But also there are signs the left truly wants to break away from everyone else and form their own spaces. Which, I swear they already had in droves? But it’s simply not enough anymore. They want everyone around them to have perfect purity of ideology.

TLDR: You should be happy these people are going out of their way to remove themselves.

I have not told anyone how, or even if, I voted. It is nobody's business.
I am not a member of the electoral college, so it doesn't even matter that much.
Liberal lefties being this insane over stupid shit is deeply troubling.
Where is it all heading?

My one friend who actually ever hung out with these types already had them enter the spiral years ago. They had a little freak out over disagreements regarding BLM, my friend showed me the essay length texts they sent back and forth as the other person demanded that he was racist and a bad person for suggesting that burning and looting random businesses wasn't something people should support.

I never thought this type of stuff actually happened irl. Who would end actual real in-person relationships over nonsense political discourse? The idea is insane.

I don't have many friends so this hasn't happened to me, but I did see some election night meltdowns in some online communities I'm in. And even those weren't as a crazy as this 4B's cut off your family members over politics shit we're seeing here.

What's the endgame with this? Part of me thinks it's just attention seeking histrionics, but seeing the left become even more insular and cult like is worrying. What happens next? Do the SJW's build the ultimate hugbox where they can hide away in that echo chamber for the rest of their lives? God, it would be so funny if wokies literally just went back to Tumblr and stayed contained there because every other site is too far right in their eyes.

Do they go full Cultural Revolution mode? Wokeness peaked in 2020 and they don't have as much cultural sway to do that anymore. There weren't many IRL chimpouts when Trump won this time. I half expected Portland to go up in flames, but all we got were some low energy protests in big cities around the country and Democrat governors virtue signaling about resisting Trump's agenda.

Things are so different from 2020, let alone 2016. This is gonna be an interesting 4 years.

With how sincerely and vehemently they believe the rhetoric from their agenda, and how readily they enact different tools to their end is concerning to me. All of this has gone so breakneck fast that most people’s behavior comes off as unremarkable. There was a point around 4 years ago when you either fully accepted the new normal or began to heavily scrutinize it. With the sheer amount of uncertainty, those with weak egos and worldviews had no choice but to accept the new normal or become an island. And to be stretched so thin that your sense of self is weak is also unremarkable in this day and age. It really was the perfect opportunistic storm for TPTB, but I digress.

Those friends that dumped you off are ones that never did anything in good faith. Everything they’ve ever done has been a means to an end because they’re that much less human and have been so consumed by the world around them. Everything they’ve ever done has stood on a soapbox of outside validation and suggestion. The vast majority of them have no semblance of critical thought about this event because they’ve been trained not to use it on these topics where authority is based on a value system of identity politics and bureaucratic hierarchy.

Trump is dangerous to our democracy because experts and politicians say so. You wouldn’t know different because you’re not a political expert and anyone in training or receiving education for this topic will tell you the same thing [because it’s all we teach].

You need this vaccine because doctors and experts say so. Yes it’s new technology and yes it’s safe and no we didn’t change the definition. You wouldn’t know different because you’re not a medical expert and anyone in training or receiving education for this topic will tell you the same thing [because it’s all we teach].

I don’t know where these people got the idea that they can’t do or decide anything for themselves but it’s been a long time coming. Western Democratic societies have really engrained in people that you can do a menial job and sit on your ass and as long as you can balance those two and follow the rule of law and collective opinion nothing will ever change or go wrong. They are so certain that you will interrupt their very simple lives by virtue of not toeing the party lines that they don’t want you around.

The more they believe this and the more they push you away, the easier it is to control the image of what you are. It’s scary to think that right now they think you’re a maligned dumbass that probably hates them and that in maybe only a few weeks they’ll have turned you into a demon capable of cold destruction in their minds. But pushing you away makes their lifestyle easier to maintain.

Anyone that would have rejected me for this election has already had me at a safe distance since the pandemic. In fact, most people around me have turned to the old adage: I don’t want him but he’s the best thing for us.
