AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

Interesting how we are 2 years into this "AI Disinformation Age" and yet we have not had a single case where AI images or voices were used to discredit or slander a politician this election and Trump still won.

I'm honestly surprised no one has made accusations at the likes of Libs of TikTok or other similar social media handles or people that the content they repost is faked via AI or god-tier YTP/photoshop editing.

Maybe they are worried about the implications. And researchers leading to conclusive findings.
Here in my country, Powerlevel, Brazil, these "deepfakes" are going out of control with betting and online casinos (an ongoing "crisis" so to speak), and celebrities who are advertising things they never advertised, all because of AI mimicking them. And even some politicians are doing it too. So... go figure?

Copyright bros... I don't feel so good

more coping and sneeding from the art mentor

>ai... le bad!
>repeat 30 times
>upload

it bears mentioning again that the vast majority of art jobs are expendable. it's the shit you see in marketing/ads, websites, etc. no one cares about the artistic integrity of an ad, they just want maximum returns for minimum investments. he always seems to conveniently gloss over this and pretend that every professional artist ever is living off of social media or working at disney or something. ignorance, toxic positivity, or both.

Futurism makes me MATI.

It keeps being linked all over like a legitimate source of information rather than the biased tabloid rag it is.

Look at this shit.

The actual story? They bought a domain. They bought chat.com and it now redirects directly to chatGPT. OpenAI has nothing to do with porn, they're not opening up a porn site or anything like that.

Or this:

This scholarly work of journalism reposts a couple of select comments from Reddit while using the emotionally charged moniker of "AI bros."

At least this is funny though:

Technically Altman does talk about NSFW (presumably of various restricted types) support being something he wants but isn't economically viable currently. Probably also issues with all NSFW concepts rising and falling together in the training.

yet we have not had a single case
Because you don't need it. People believe whatever they want to believe, if it's actually the truth doesn't really matter. Making intricate fake narratives with AI isn't necessary. Just tell them they turn the friggin frogs gay and those who want to believe, will. Elaborate AI fakes only make sense when the truth actually matters.

Anti AI people lose their minds every time people bring up the camera, because it's the perfect counter to all of their arguments. Technology that's existed for ages, has always been about pressing one button while a machine does the rest of the work for you, is entirely built on capturing a perfect duplicate of whatever its pointed at (omg that's infringement!) and yet is considered as much an art as anything else. Self expression mostly through curating the best shot you took and hand-selecting it to share with the world. That's all that's ever been required.
Mostly it's about people getting emotional because they feel that their livelihoods are being threatened by the new technology more so than the art itself. For example back in the day painters used to do jobs that photographers would largely take up later on (i.e. portraits). Of course, people moved on, did new things and everyone was better off in the long run.

The problem is that AI can automate generic production of art so much that artists in the lower rungs of the ladder miss out on entry level work (basically the same problem junior developers face, only worse) so less skilled people and those beginning their journey will find it increasingly harder to make money off of art, which is already very difficult as is. Why would some novice author commission an artist for a book cover when they can generate acceptable art by proompting ? Don't get me wrong, many will still choose a human artist, but fighting against something that is completely free is a losing proposition. Economics will always win !

Can you post some examples?
"AI bros."
The moment someone adds "bro" to anything I automatically discard everything they've said and assume they're retarded.

Not a single false-positive so far.
why does it ALWAYS come down to money with these people
Take a guess, they been making bank with weeb and furry coomers for nearly 2 decades.

But there are still people doing painted portraits, thing is even back then it was rich people stuff, the middle class could at best get a cheap engraving and the poor? well if your coal miner father died the only picture of him would be in your head, nuff said. The people who could pay a painting still exist today and still do it for bragging rights same as they did back then.

I showed one girl some fantasy landscapes stuff made with SDXL and she offered to pay me to make more for her even when I showed her how to prompt saying she didn't get it and was too busy anyway. You underestimate how dumb and lazy most people are nowadays.

Hell even running your own AI its pretty easy (and free) with ollama and yet hardly anyone does it.

Exciting development happening in ArtistHate, it is now kosher to bully people for upscaling screenshots.

For the record, the original poster included the original image and the upscale that caused this ruckus. Personally, I think the upscaled face doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the screenshot, and the issues with the hair curls and pupil sizes are noticeable, but it's still better than the original and I find it hilarious that retards seethe over similar situations.

I want them to start bullying people for using machine translations and NVIDIA/AMD's built-in AI upscaling stuff.
