He's an animator first and foremost, and that sort of minimalist style does not lend well to single still frames (which is what he's trying to market these days)

He's also allegedly friends with Rebecca Sugar, and Steven Universe has a fanbase that's predominantly teenagers (and adults with the stunted emotional maturity of teenagers). I know Rebecca is a pretty private person on social media (or at least has the common sense to keep her mouth shut), but I sure hope she cuts Shmorky out of her life if she's made aware of this or w/e.

My guess is that the majority of them (i.e. KC Green) will probably stay as silent for as long as they possibly can, either because they're in denial about this and/or they don't want to upset the wrong people by taking a side. Especially since some of these people run in the SJW circles, and there's some parts where "child grooming/pedophilia is okay/not okay" is still heavily debated, sadly.

It's an unenviable position to be in, because having a really close if not good friend with some pretty fucking dark and disgusting secrets that you don't know about for years and finding it out like this would probably a huge shock to the system before hitting the stages of grief or something.

Whenever you a person who's attracted to someone much younger than them, it's usually because that person is emotionally crippled and can't relate with people their own age. I have been letting people know about Dave since 2001, a decade and a fucking half. Educating people that "hey that flashtub guy is a huge gross furry who likes diaper baby dicks so we booted out of the oekaki community" (god is that even a thing anymore?). I have had to deal with SJW apologists, sycophantic fangirls and SA goons all telling me I am just a scumbag troll and Dave is a deep and sensitive artist and that I must be some depraved no talent who is just jealous.
