I'll dare to say Spoony was probably the best for a short time of them all, even over Doug.

I recall Spoony in his commentary of Kickassia that TGWTG needed him more than he needed them, one of the reasons he left the site. Other sources I remember talked about Doug being desperate to keep him after the Twitter meltdown.

He had great potential, then something the fuck happened when he started growing his hair long. We all know how the women in his life really messed him up, but I also place a lot of blame on Jackson for being his bagman and yes man and shielding him from any criticism.

Before TSE he had just failed to earn a PhD in CS and whined on his blog how he has nowhere to go. Then TSE blew up and Scarlet gave him a feeling his life is going places. All April did was drag him forward for a bit but still a positive influence IMO. Jinson was there to suck his dick and I doubt he ever paid attention to him.

It's hard to say there though if it was the chicken or the egg. Was Spoony so fragile that he needed Jackson, or did Jackson turn him into that fragile husk?

Jackson mopped his cumstains, he was less than irrelevant. Read Spoony's blog, he was a suicidal nut one bad day from going postal even before becoming Internet famous. It's funny in retrospective that the one guy who was legit mentally ill was clowned on by his assosiates who were all self-diagnosed autists.

People on reddit talked about the guy a lot. He was over at TVTropes for a bit and has a profile on Nexus.

He complained in Mazes & Monsters review about his CS degree being worthless thanks to pajeets. TBH if you can ace a fizzbuzz interview you're better than 80% of CS degree aspirants. It's just that a "plain" CS degree, no PhD, is kinda useless as potential employers are more interested in what you can code and universities won't even bother hiring you if you don't have a PhD.

The one time he took a break and came back very strong was Minority Report. He even said 'I'm back!!' and it worked. There is one coming thing that he could do something like that on, the Hiighlander Reboot (if it even happens with Cavill or at all, seems in development hell).

He'd have to shave that scraggly beard and get a sense of humor again for that to work. His Curtis streams are just him moping with a dead eyed post-lobotomy grin the whole time. He's gone. Maybe if he got off whatever anti-psychotics he's on and drank heavy for a few weeks he'd have a tiny chance at doing something good again.

I think Spoony was the worst combo of an egomaniac with middling potential. When he found relative success as an e-celeb it completely went to his head and he assumed the only way is up which lead to him becoming more and more arrogant as well as angry when people criticised him for any reason.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for Noah but it must be pretty devastating when you finally accept Hollywood is never going to call.

LOL, the idea of spoony starting slow on youtube... so what he's 50 by the time he gets back to a regular release schedule and has re-built an audience that can provide 20k views a video?

Yeah, dude needs to "start somewhere" in life preferably something that doesn't involve the internet or an audience. Even armzgurl was able to use her video creation background as a likely source of experience to land her shit gig doing closed captions. Spoony has spent the past decade doing a public job of character assassination of himself and needs to get an entry level starter job somewhere as a man in his 40s. I wouldn't hire this guy to do level 1 tech support somewhere, he needs to be flipping burgers or mopping a floor, either of which would be better than what he's doing now.
