Sony hate thread

Official Sonynigger employees sold his account info, then banned him for being logged on multiple PS5s.
Okay, but
i was really shocked that sony doesnt know the trophy system and they dont know about auto pop plats like i mentioned you can plat a 100h game and pop the other stack in few seconds or minutes.
What does that mean? I’m imagining a stop-n’-swap system where you can get a platinum trophy in one game then quickly take the disc out and replace it with a different game to also platinum that one.

What does that mean?

Some PS5 ports of a game let you load up save files from the PS4 version and they automatically grant you all previously earned trophies. Since the PS5 port counts as a different game on your profile it's possible to have the game say you have 3 minutes on Ghost of Tsushima or something but have all the trophies unlocked.

I had read it as his data/profile was involved in a breach, then Sony banned his account and terminated his partnership.

I don't believe that even Sony would sell account information. I do believe that this loser would sell his own account and then get banned and try and pin it on Sony.
He himself mentioned that people lend him games for platinum trophies, which violates Sony's ToS. r/PS5 says he's not blameless in that ordeal.

Take that how you will, but this is quite telling of Sony's customer support and PSN's security.

>you're not allowed to borrow games
>their biggest ad for the PS4 was that you could share your games with your friends

I don't know. This is what I'm hearing. Only party that would completely know is Sony. I wouldn't see why you'd be a world record holder for obtaining trophies only to sabotage that for a slight reason.

They were perfectly willing to take away Helldivers 2 from paying customers and keep the cash. Treating them like they are honest businessmen is beyond naive.

I can follow why Sony did that with Helldivers 2. PSN signups are flagging, they have to give evidence to bullshit investors that everything is fine, and it's legal. I can't follow why a Sony employee would throw away his job and become unemployable in their field and anything tangentially related for a few thousand bucks.

PS5PRO is selling 'launch aligned' (remember that phrase from a while ago?) with the PS4PRO, but because the PS5PRO costs more, it's evidence that the PS5PRO is more popular.

In Japan PS5PRO sold 75K units in launch week but only 1500 PS5's.

The fuck did you expect. They did the EXACT same thing with paid online play. Stated how it was bullshit that you had to pay to play online in the PS3s launch, then no way, they did it for the PS4.

One thing I'd REALLY like for Valve to do is a return to the whole Steam Machine thing. SteamOS is now way more fleshed out, and I think it's now viable to do so considering Valve is able to subsidize the cost for their products and PC hardware is at the point where I think it'd be possible. Would probably be really funny to see the sales of that compared to whatever Sony would put out.

Nope! Yanking the games like that would result in a lawsuit. When they bought the game, it was under the impression that they would keep it. There was nothing indicating that it was temporary. If they were to issue refunds, it would be one thing but they knowingly sold the game in regions where PSN was unavailable. Call it a fuck up but if I went to a restaurant and before I finish my meal, a waiter comes in, takes my food and throws me out to make room for a rich guy without refunding me, I would be suing and dragging their name through the mud. If you pay for something, you cannot have it get taken from you, especially if you did not violate terms of service.

Most thieves do not expect to get caught.

If they start out cheap, like a SteamOuya and launch a 1080p machine for pennies, I think it could clean up. Imagine a console that has the Steam library, can run games at 1080p@60fps with a linux desktop, mouse and Keyboard for £250 max. preferably £199.

Who would buy a PS5, Xbox 5 or even a Switch 2? Valve could own the living room. The a year or two later, sell a 4k proper gaming rig upgrade.

>all for the exact same shitass cpu that caused all the bottlenecks with the base model, PISSER ai upscaling that barely works in the best of circumstances and straight up doesn't work in all others, and worse performance than the base ps5 on any game that doesn't get a dedicated ps5pro patch

Well, at least you're saving money on games, since there aren't any.

I only remember this because of famitsu threads, but a couple years back, they had an ad campaign in japan where they hired some faggy they/them popstar to dance around like a monkey, and the campaign was called, I shit you not, "A World Without Games". Unironically, sonyggers were saying that campaign would save the ps5 in japan.

See, and people say that Soyny doesn't know their audience!

It would get crushed, because COD, FIFA, Fortnite, Apex, etc and their anticheat don’t like Linux operating systems. No black, Latino, or Arab market.

Would still buy it though and I imagine it would probably sell a couple million like the Steam Deck.

Steam Machines would just flop again. The reason the Deck succeeded is because it filled a niche that actually needed filled. Handheld PC gaming. There have been attempts at this since the 2000's and Valve figured out how to do it right. Steam Machines were trying to appeal to console gamers while also being tolerable for PC gamers. You can't appeal to both of these groups at once. Console gamers want plug and play(or as close as you can get now) and PC gamers want something they can fuck around with if they want to.
