It is almost like they voted for Trump knowing exactly what he would do. CNN is bitching because this is exactly one of those "There is never side effects to what we do, oh shit what are you doing!?" incidents. These protestors voted for Trump as a way of throwing a molotov on the party that claimed to support them, then stabbed them in the back. They know Trump is pro-Israel, but he -never claimed otherwise-, and actually has a track record as a peacemaker.

Trump, for all his bluster, self-aggrandizement, exaggerations, and little lies.... never backs down or pretends to have policies he doesn't support. When it comes to announcing his stances the man is bluntly and consistently honest. Its a major part of why despite disliking him on a personal level, I respect the hell out of him as president. And it turns out that when the other side is a bunch of serial liars on major issues and what they believe... people will in fact vote for the guy who doesn't actually support their position but is at least honest about it.

But let me expand on this a bit. The fraud is a disconnected thing. The people above encourage and allow it but they do not -direct-it. The people below do it and create it, but are not -told- to or -how- to.

The short version of why this inefficient thing is, is simply fear. The people above are actually afraid of being caught personally. Its a sort of baseline fear that even though they were the ones in power, they didn't want to be the ones personally at risk of being caught. Selfish self-interest.

And in the current time, everyone above has suddenly gone silent, especially after Trump won and they know for a fact he will be gunning for them. Suddenly their self-interest is justified and they want no part in the directing. So this leaves those below adrift, doing what they can where they can to enable and just begging and pleading for the go ahead.

Its right but its also gaslighting you as to why. Obama has been -pretty damn vocal- off screen about what he is thinking. The man views this whole mess as the end of his legacy, as the destruction of everything he left behind. And that is the only thing he ever cared about. He was happy to be the perfect puppet to the Uniparty because he believed he would go down in history as a quite literal Black Jesus. The man has a true and actual Messianic Complex. As someone who has had to deal with a -lot- of autistic people... seriously, you have no idea how high the ratio is for analytical fields. The best thing an autistic person can have is a gentle but firm person as a major social contact. Someone who won't insult them or belittle them or get angry with them. but who will tell them firmly "Stop that, its not okay, it is not socially acceptable".

It takes some patience but they do eventually learn to spot the social cues through effort rather than the intuitive nature most have.
