She best watch her fucking step because at some point she really is going to run off all of the intelligent allies, and the intelligent allies are the ones with money in their pockets to fund all her personal "Nina needs vaccines and a lawyer and Greta needs a root canal" begging campaigns. Without them all she will be left with is people like Fire and Phil and they don't have a pot to piss in and neither does anyone they would be likely to signal boost to.

Also, I hope Jamie will come and tell us where bodies are buried once he's read the thread, realized that Greta is a lying bully and no longer can tolerate her telling him what to do because she says so. Yes, yes, we are evil incarnate, but we will never ask him to check his privilege to try and make him shut up, so we do have that going for us. If he decides to stay put maybe he can check in and make sure Jaden hasn't cracked under the stress of keeping this shitboat afloat while Greta threatens all of Arizona.

Whilst none of those I talked to are willing to discuss it openly, there's a lot of concern that this failure to vet its staff is intentional, with full knowledge of the fact that it might potentially be allowing nasty people access to their victims of choice, since at the same time this has been going on, Greta has repeatedly refused offers for training, and more important, help vetting her volunteers. Even Volunteers can relatively easily pay for their own background checks, but to them, TLL's refusal macks of intentionally allowing abusers to keep abusing.

There's no accountability, and Greta's steadfast refusal to allow any oversight is, to them, highly suspicious.

Okay, I'll bite. What possible reason could there be for Greta to willfully permit predators access to suicidal people and at-risk people who work for TLL? I can totally see her not giving a shit if Chester the Molester gets a desperate 15 year old on the phone because she doesn't care about anyone (including Nina, who will find this out in the fullness of time, sadly). But what reason could there be for her to willfully permit this to happen and permit it to continue once she is aware of it.

The only reason I can come up with is a stretch - she fears that background checks or third party oversight vetting volunteers will find out that predators slipped through the cracks. But that could be easily explained by them being a new operation, it was utterly unintentional, that's why they implemented new rules and procedures, etc. Greta would never try to sweep something under the carpet because she knows that her core of supporters won't question her too closely for fear she will turn on them and ostracize them from the trans community as a whole. Plus Greta has shown up on a man's doorstep and maliciously tormented his mother because she objects to a website, she's abandoned a son and cheated her ex out of support, has wasted money sent to her charity on endless travel, has lied repeatedly about what is happening to Nina in regards to her immigration status, and routinely threatens people with violence and nothing has happened to her. I cannot imagine why she would not just blithely state that some bad people got through but she will never let it happen again or something like that.

So why is she just letting it happen? Does a predator have something on Greta? Is she close friends with a pervert and doesn't mind that person is preying on others? What possible motive is there? I realize it's speculation, but what reason could there be?
