We finally got another episode of TISM today.
Markus shared some recent dating stories, during which he talked about red flags that he's watching out for. With two of these red flags, he made allusions to a past failed relationship (or relationships). He didn't say anything to identify which relationship he was talking about, but it's possible that he could've been talking about issues from his marriage.
At 1:12:40 in the episode, he says that he went out with a girl who told him during the date that she had BPD. Markus says, "I am
not doing that
again."
At 1:16:51, he says, "another fuckin' little promise that I made to myself was, 'if I catch them in a
single lie, that's it.' Like, that is it. I'm not even gonna just do, like, what I did in the past, and overlook it."
He mentioned that most of the women that he's dated recently have ended up lying eventually, but I don't recall from any past TISM episodes any stories about dating someone with BPD.
That makes it sound like the BPD issue was from before this current spate of dating. How he phrased overlooking lies as "what I did in the past" sounded like it was from before these recent dates, too. Which would mean that the "dealing with BPD" or "dealing with a liar" stories come from either before or during his marriage.
He dated other people before he met Sue, of course, so he wasn't necessarily talking about her. But it's possible.
Maybe this ends up having nothing to do with anything, but I thought it was worth noting just in case.
