4Kids changed quite a bit to make it hit that rating.

Manga has the same issue, but on steroids.

Eh, kinda.

Big problem though is that... if you're not into superheroes, anything from America won't hold much interest for you, and French stuff is unfortunately hard to find.

With manga I can at least get different subject matter whether its Greek mythology, naval strategy, vampires, detective stories that have actual logic rather than the kind of made up BS that Batman or Scooby Doo use, etc.

You're right that it all skews young though, and that does get to be an issue (possibly even a graphic novel) at points. It can be fun to revisit what you were probably like as a kid, but there are times I wanna say "there's a much better answer you could've given to this question" or "you're doing something stupid for a retarded reason."

To be fair the exact same thing happens in capeshit so...
