Honestly, I can only take the sources from both Horse News and Minty Root with a HUGE grain of salt. Because given what I've heard from various folks, they have their own major issues, and really are not much better than FNGR, and in a few ways perhaps even worse. And that's saying something.

For the record, horse news seems to have a solid track record for covering drama and scams, including the "Brony Cruise" run by a man whose been constantly scamming people in a similar manner for years, the DrawPonies tracing scandal, discovering that Dark Skyes was actually an MDE project, blackgryph0n using the fact he's friends with an MLP VA to charge $100 for skype calls, and, of course, the fallenwish scam.

Even then, many of them actually don't agree with a lot of the things FNGR has done, only that they see him as a "necessary evil". Whether that notion has any merit or not, is a discussion that might be worth having. Also, the thing about Horse News is that, much like the alt-right, they unironically make anti-Semitic comments towards people they like to slander and demonize, even towards folks who may have done questionable things in the past, especially FallenWish (who even still, has a vindictive attitude towards the analysis community, according to Lightning Bliss). The only difference between them and FNGR, is that they're on the opposite extreme in terms of reporting drama.

Really, I personally just go by the philosophy that two wrongs don't make a right. Wether it be from FNGR, or those like Horse News and Minty Root.

I used the viewcount as a somewhat separate argument, that if you're gonna use the number-game where you go "well, you see, all these brony analysts go on his podcast and consider him a 'necessary evil' so he must be alright!" then:
A) You're ignoring the fact that these people may only be doing so because they have dollar signs in their eyes,
B) 140,000 people who hate him is a lot more than 50 or so brony analysts who like him,
C) Anthony is an unhinged and very insane person who will accuse of you of anything and everything if you wrong him in the slightest way so they're likely just trying to spare themselves the trouble.

No, it really isn't. When someone's politically incorrect, it means that what they're saying is unapologetic and trying to prove a point with no warm, fuzzy, bullcrap. Often the most important test is if what was said is the truth. A fact even if voiced in unapologetic language cannot be offensive on it's own merit if it is true.

However, if someone just treats as normal the idea that some people are inherently worth less than others, with clear hatred or negative emotional content in what they say, just for the sake of espousing negative connotations, bigotry, bias, and/or discrimination, then they'd really only be complete a**holes.

I'm not saying that FNGR is alright at all. My point was on how there's a discussion to possibly have on wether the brony analysts that participate as frequent guests on the Limbo podcasts, have any merit or not, when they see FNGR as a "necessary evil".

Also, how would you even know that many of Josh's friends, and others in the analysis community (not counting Digibro, since he left the brony community a while ago, plus I could really care less about that guy), only go on FNGR's podcasts and Skype calls, because they're motivated by money? Unless you've attempted to reach out to any one of them, and find out their reasoning for why they actually contact him, or have info that isn't based on unsubstantiated rumors and speculations (Horse News), I can't just take your own word for it.
