I'll also use this post to say that Sonia is seriously underrated. She basically carries half of Knux's and Flora's dynamic in the series and is a good foil for Sonic, Manic and Aleena. She is probably the single best-written character in the show, simply because of how effectively she plays with everyone else. She can be a straightman, silly or alternate effortlessly. If you want to figure out why Tamers is so appreciated, study the nuance he uses with Sonia.

I’ve never looked at Sonia that way, that’s an interesting perspective. But I think Flora has had the best arc out of any character. She went from being insecure and constantly being pushed around by everyone to becoming independent and willing to stand up to others. And keep in mind he essentially built her almost from the ground up because she was in a single episode in the original show under a different name (Maeve). I mean so was Mindy but my point still stands.

Also that’s a genius move from Tamers to speak entirely in TTS throughout the whole interview. The last thing I want to see is for him to break character.

Flora had a good character evolution. I have a feeling she's plateaued into a specific sort of character (straightman, stick in the mud, religious jokes) but I could be wrong. Things could always be worse; you could be Mandy (dead) or Mindy, where you've only had about two jokes for the past fourteen years.

Pretty sad. I don't think the /mlp/ fags are going to stick around; the 4chan threads, video comments and social media comments I've seen imply they don't "get" Tamers at all. Existing SU fans won't look fondly on him buckling under his gimmick. But if Sonic Underground could survive World War 3 it can survive this.

Outside of the MLP glazing, I’m surprised how good that interview was. My biggest takeaways were that it only takes a day to write episodes, the next SU episode will be about Bartleby and Uncle Chuck at the circus, the two Tamers theory is finally debunked, and the dox was wrong except the state he lives in (LOL).

The great thing about Tamers was he wasn't part of the Sonic fandom. His Sonic Underground videos were basically an original sitcom starring the Sonic Underground cast in name only and based on a version of Sonic far removed from the modern one.

With the pony stuff he's retweeting the bronies, customizing pony dolls, and doing interviews. He feels more like a brony YouTuber than he ever felt like a Sonic YouTuber and that saddens me.

Interview was pretty good. Genuinely surprised he had zero prior knowledge of MLP when he started since it felt otherwise. Good to hear he has plans for Bartleby and Uncle Chuck in future episodes. Curious to see how he handles SU since he said he wanted to make "a clean slate" since his current version has gone on so long. Little worried but we will see.
Excited for more Zatch Bell, however a bit disappointed we're getting more MLP stuff. Least we're moving on from the gay horse love triangle.

Sunset Shimmer. or shimsham, or whatever the fuck these bronies call her. Originally a villain for the 'My Little Pony Equestria Girls' movie (the first movie in the EQG series, serves as a movie to connect between S3 & S4). The EQG movies feature more human-like proportions, such as having hands and the 'human world' serves as a weird parallel universe to the 'pony world'.

Seeing how much Tamers seems to enjoy interacting with the bronies I really can't help but feel like it must be a nice change of pace for a creator to have fans that don't want you to remain hidden and undiscovered. Yeah it comes from a place of well intentioned concern but having so many people suddenly make fan creations about your content must be exciting. It's not like there weren't any cracks before with how many major figures on the internet know about and like Tamers.
If he genuinely enjoys the attention then all the more power to him, the guy earned it.

I don't like this narrative that's formed since thepony stuff started happening of "oh the old fans just wanted tamers to remain undiscovered". We have YEARS of evidence showcasing bartleby's growing influence over the masses and making everyone his bitch that easily disproves this.

My main gripe with this pony shit is the same gripe a lot of people have of there being a clear outside push by bronies to turn tamers into another MLP reddit/twtter minded yt "content" producer. Compare how every character in every other vid put out by tamers to the recent MLP screengrabs sent earlier and you can see what 'm talking about with there being a clear external force pressuring tamers to become a generic brony in the sea of bronies instead of the cool funny animation guy that makes vids where characters all got massive asses. I've spent the last near decade being smugposted at by degenerate pony pfps and witnessed certain hazing and grooming behaviors amongst them so I am very wary we will reach a phase where they will begin to smugpost about how tamers was never good and the sonic underground animations were actually super problematic or some bullshit. I mean if they already have I wouldn't be surprised either I just kinda have been trying to avoid thinking too much about the horse people again.
