This (Payton) actually floors me a bit. Mostly because I don't understand Payton getting this aggressive over stuff being touched. Then again, maybe I'm just forgetting the fact she's 19 and carries with her an immaturity that hasn't been shed yet.
Even from the perspective of her being a little sheltered and just reacting like a child, it was such a violent retaliation. I can only assume there has to be something in her luggage or maybe it's something to do with male figures in her life? I feel like Burt right now. I've understood what made Slimeball crack and what made Alex crack, shit that was very, very one their sleeve. Payton's reaction is a genuine enigma but maybe I've started to expect more of her since the facade dropped.
Binx did a pretty good job evading Frank. He, in turn, did a good job utilizing Burt as a minion for him. I'm enjoying this quasi-chess game happening between the two of them. A bit disappointed it ended with Binx screaming out and getting bailed out by production but I do believe they likely would have been walking around in circles in B1 if they hadn't be interrupted.
I really like what Frank has brought to the Tank. I kind of feel like I'm watching a hassling Hannibal.
I don't know if merely ignoring or personally minimizing one's reaction to Frank will make him hassle any less, but I see him as a narrative obstacle. I really want to see Payton overcome it and stay, if only because of how she reacted to this while seemingly being chill outside of Frank. Burt as well. I feel like this is an inner struggle type of thing.
