I remember him a few months ago going on a rant about the farms and making fun of people who discuss lolcows. He has a tendency to flip flop on opinions and often times comes across as a hypocrite which is very lolcow like. He also spergs out at his chat over a lot of minor and insignificant things. Like for instance someone giving him the wrong instructions in a video game or chat arguing with him about some settings in an application. All things considered, I believe he has too much self awareness to truly become a lolcow. He just has a little autism.

Hey Drinker, what exactly is "the message" again?

But really it's a thing we see over and over again. Someone likes a thing and suddenly they're pretending there's no propaganda there. Prime example being Mauler and Drinker defending Ragnarok. For some reason these people can't just say they enjoy it in spite of the propaganda. No, I like it so it isn't there!
You see it here too, in for example the BG3 thread. These people perform insane mental gymnastics to make one of the wokest games ever not woke. Oh sure, it's completely full of trannies, drag queens, faggots, bear sex, niggers, forced diversity etc and all of them want to fuck you in the ass but you can kill them so it's totally not woke. BG3 is still pretty decent in spite of all that shit but it's obviously there. The fact that Synth was able to recognize this puts him head and shoulders above these idiots who latch on to a product and turn their brains off. And ironically makes him a much better objective critic.

The film would be more justified for giving the driver a single mother girlfriend, if the movie actually treated the driver like the morally grey character he is. It should've presented itself as having a character with mostly bad morals and actions, getting exactly what he deserves, and compromising with that in the end. Instead, the movie treats the driver like a hero for getting with the mega roastie, even with the song "A Real Hero" beating that idea into your head.

The more you look into films or shows with this angle, you'll notice how a good majority of their plots or subplots revolve around some guy chasing around a 2000 body-count haunted house.

If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure in the original novel from 2005 (I read it a long time ago back when it was in my Middle School library so this is all on memory lol) Benecio didn't exist and while Irene had a relationship with Standard, it seemed like she regretted it more firmly in the original source material compared to the movie.

Though they also didn't specify if she was White or Hispanic like Standard. So if its the latter then Novel-Driver did a race mixing. But it is LA after all...

In the sequel to the original novel of Drive (2005) aka Driven (2012), Irene also gets killed off (that's basically how the story starts off) so that might be kino depending on your POV lol.

But as a Literally Me film set in LA, Falling Down is way better anyways.
