Yeah you can argue the church sanctioned ages of 12/14 suggest otherwise but the actual parish records suggest otherwise as the average lands in the mid 20s, there's one where a 3 year old "married" a 2 year old but that's presumably some sort of betrothal where I very much doubt the toddlers were exercising their rights as freemen of the land. Essentially lower marriage age is something associated with arranged marriages which by their very nature are somewhat antithetical to your position of it being an exercise of free will. Case in point: all those princesses getting sold off in the early teens like the meat cattle they were, not the same for actual everyday people as you ought to appreciate since you're apparently straight out of the past.
