Tangentially related: I went to check on SteamDB and noticed something standing out. It has a Bluesky link now and Twitter removed.
Fortunately I don't give a shit what SteamDB has to say on either Twitter or BS (heh), so this is a meaningless gesture.

I wonder when the Washington Post is going to set up their "47" category on their headers like they did for "45" when they were too childish to print Trump's name. Or if they'll even bother this time.

I'm pretty sure the game only got this one sole nomination in the Game Awards specifically because of the various tranny player character options.
Achievements in the field of excellence award. Because they can't call it "because EA paid gave us money pity trophy".

Tangentially related: I went to check on SteamDB and noticed something standing out. It has a Bluesky link now and Twitter removed. Undoubtedly, not a coincidence what with many far leftists leaving Twitter to there in protest of Trump's win.

Maybe not surprising with Mastodon being there in the first place since only far leftists use that one, as far as I've heard. Anyways, not saying this changes the info presented there, of course, but just something that caught my eye.

Edit: The creator of SteamDB is still on Twitter though:

Is that the same guy who allowed Timmy Tencent to scrape the Steam wishlist data and help them buy those temp exclusives?

Decided to play through Origins again as a mage because I'm kind of addicted at the moment. Trying to perfect the Arcane Warrior blaster tank, as inefficient as it may seem. Decided to go nightmare since the DLC bonus gear demands some kind of balance. It turns out nightmare isn't hard at all. It just makes enemy AI less retarded, which forces me to actually try to win fights early. So I went from breezing through the game to brutalizing my enemies through micromanaged tactics. It's far easier. All my encounters can be seen as this.

This game is legit making me miss the good old days of black and white decisions. Why? Not because that was great and all, nonono, but because it did allow you to pick a bad/evil decision at all. We live in the era of Fallout 4's yes/no/question/yes but sarcastic.

I cant believe Im gonna say this but I want the ME2/3 Renegade choices to go back. Some of them could be cartoonish and/or self destructive to a T but I just miss when games just allowed you to be a unrepenting cunt and the world had to go along with it cuz who else can save the world? Mass Effect literally gives you Specter status, saying you can legally do whatever with the council's approval, which means you can just be a petty dick with everyone and they cant do shit about it.

Those normal people had since become mutants too. A very notable example is how Mark Darrah went on record stating that loves that the series has become sanitized, becoming the game that should have been.

Then again, he was a consultant on that game, so maybe he was obligated to say nice things, but still... HE WAS CONSULTED ON THE GAME.

People change their views all the time, but it seems like working at BioWare leaves a stain in the DNA that later turns you into a mutated NPC. He already has the soyface and patronizing libtard voice down pat.

We call that the "Reaper Woke Signal", it affects the minds of organics, corrupting their minds until they are but slaves towards the singular purpose of serving the reapers leftists.
What gets me most about Taash is how fucking hideous she/he/xir/it is. You'd think at least the requisite tranny/nonbinary character would at least be made appealing looking to try to bait you in.

The concept art of her is also pretty bad but at least she/he/xir/it doesn't look like like a man with tits

Hasn't stopped weird motherfuckers on the Bioware forums from trying to make her into this game's Karlach though.

Disgust? Anger? Ang-usted. There we go.

There are people out there genuinely doing their best to make their game accommodating to people with disabilities, whether with unique control options, or multiple colorblind modes, or dyslexia-friendly subtitles. But no, they will lose out to a game that allows you to cut off your breasts and larp as a woman. Unironically pathetic.

Oli Welsh of Polygon is mad that Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not Game of the Year. And looking at what he looks like, he's literally a soyboy with beta male energy that looks like he's into DEI cuckoldry.

A game engineered to succeed at TGA indeed. The Dorito Pope himself thought that shit was retarded.

This guy gets less engagement with 500x the followers than my old xitter account and all I did was retweet racist memes.

After I gave up on Failguard I went back to Inquisition.
Then I saw posts in here reminding me of the Origins DLC.

It's like going back to an old, comfy friend. Ok, except the final battle of Leliana's Song, that sucked. Now on Awakening. I've replayed Origins a couple times but I don't think I ever replayed the DLCs.

Good times.

The only I really hated about dragon age is how they always had expansions tacked on a year after the initial release forcing me to pay more money just for the final chapters of the story. Annoying
At least with Veilguard, you don't have to worry about buying expansions since the story and game is too dogshit to play in the first place.
