General Wrestling Discussion

I was watching WrestlingBio's "Reliving The War" series the other day where he reviews the entire timeline of the Monday Night War across hundreds of videos, and I noticed something that bugged the shit out of me: Ric Flair really does not look good with anything but his signature long 1970's hair. He cut it short and shaved the back of it for his feud with NWO and he legitimately looked like one of those little yorkie dogs who had just returned from the dog groomer lol

Just wait until 2000 when he has the short spiky look.

Has Bullet Club reached the fatigue stage that the nWo was in by the late 1990s? I caught the results of New Japan's latest event on a wrestling news site and read that former World champion, Sanada, turned on the faction he was leading to join BC.
It's been like that for about 7 years now

I was browsing r/squaredcircle a while ago and they posted a bunch of clips of NXT.

Has Hunter taken his eye off the ball over there or something? So many identical dimeless shitters in both the mens and womens roster. An entire sub-brand of "local talent" jobbers. The only people of note are the established talents they've signed who are getting a tune up before they go to the main roster.

Also, I'm not racist, but are they just signing half of their new people from Bookers training school?

Booker's school and like two others are the primary talent pool NXT draws off of that aren't direct NIL college athletes. Also Hunter took his eyes off of NXT a while ago, it is all Shawn's baby.

Current NiggerXT is dire. The TNA/ECW stunts they pulled were the only ways they could distract people into thinking everything was fine since the last call-ups. They sent all the actually good talents to the main brands and have nothing to replace them with very athletic nigger #6734986734, some of the dullest fuckers on Earth.

it barely exists anymore imo, the biggest problem right now is AEW, it fucking sucks, they are basically rehashing the nWo with this shitty BCC storyline and I wish Moxley and the rest of AEW would just fuck off, even the worst WWE PPV this year (which was MITB imo) has been far better then anything AEW has done this year

Hard Disagree, I think NXT is pretty good at the moment, HBK is running it and its kind of gone back to its purpose of being a developmental territory rather then a 3rd brand, I don't think the wrestling itself as as good as what you see on the main roster but that really should be a given.

It's the ultimate binge watch/background noise for me. The dude knows his shit and he's closing in on the ending of the war now.
My only complaint with the series is some of the running "jokes" don't land for me and he proceeds to run it into the fucking ground, like the whole Steve Blackman/Robot monster bullshit is pure cringe and I wish he would stop. Just like Steve Blackman, that shit is not over

Yeah I like him, his is the only wrestling channel I watch since I am not really that huge of a fan tbh. I like all the stuff that happens behind the scenes, which is 10000x more intriguing to me than the actual wrestling itself.

I don’t dislike black talent, but Lash whatever is Great Value Bianca Belair and I can’t be convinced differently.
Lashes instead of a braid and athletic as fuck.
They’re doing her a disservice with the lashes thing.

And if I ever see Sexxy Red or whoever that shrieking hood rat is again it’ll be too soon.

At this point, those two have made NXT a mostly pass for me even though I was watching every week mainly for Trick and Lexis King (I want lil Brian Pillman to succeed).

It’s really unfortunate, when Rhea and Tiffany were on NXT that was good times.

Don't forget the David Flair bit. Other than the elementary attempts at humor with these things though I really enjoy the channel otherwise. Him cracking up while trying to read his script when stupid shit happens though is way funnier than some ai generated song about David Flair being a shit wrestler having no business in the ring or the Mean Street Posse pretending to have sex.

I don't either, I think from a business perspective it makes sense to have some black talent given a lot of new fans are Black, as far as the women go I think Cargill and Belair are decent in-ring, they obviously aren't going to appeal to fans like me promo-wise but thats obviously not the goal with them, as for the men I think Trick Williams is a top-5 talent in the future, i mean you have guys like Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu who are already on the main roster and getting over extremely quickly, Trick will be the same way whenever he gets called up

I think that's just a thing with most YT channels. I've been binging OSW and their constant Simpsons references get a little annoying after a while.

Bullet Club in NJPW died a death once all of their major guys went stateside to either AEW or WWE.

The faction is sort of a vague thing that guys will reference every now and then but when the main guys involved at the moment are EVIL and Chase Owens it sort of falls flat.

You're a little behind the times. David Finlay revitalized it with the War Dogs after he took over. Sucks that Alex Coughlin had to retire.

Evil's in House of Torture, which Finlay claims isn't part of Bullet Club. Chase Owens is a part time player in NJPW now. Until this week's World Tag League, he hadn't been there since June.

The David Flair song is probably the worst thing he's done, but I like the Mean Street Posse song.

It's hard to beat this for funny David Flair content.

I watched Dynamite and, ngl, Orange Cassidy doing that passive tap-kick thing to Moxley while he's getting gang-beat (with his hands literally duct taped into his pockets) by the entire BBC crew got a bit of a pop out of me.

Idk, I guess the work is working me, but I still mostly just find Mox and co. to be insufferable. Their motivations are too unstated for me to care beyond annoyance. But I appreciate Orange's serious-turn.
