But no, Fishtank barrels into hell tank way too fast. its a bit like the MDE group just gives up and decides it’s time for them to play with their worst fantasies at the expense of the viewers. I know it’s because Fishtank doesn’t want to be a game show. They want the appeal to be the hell house. But the best moments are always when the show is a game. I just wish they could admit it to themselves as well. I think it’s fine to be known as the “edge big brother” but at least don’t have the conversion of Fishtank to hellhouse be a single week. Spread it out from week 3 all the way to the end, and the last day which is the giant game show day be the worst day. I felt season 1 kinda did this. With the last day being entirely in a single room, but then season 2’s ending wasn’t the worst day, and I’ll have to wait for season 3. Just sucks they are not following what I felt season 1 a good watch
Counterargument: You may just enjoy the first half of the season, and the second half of the season may not be for you. If it's going to be pure hell house in the last few weeks, I'll probably watch less. Which is a good thing, I need to sleep more and do other things.
But the first few weeks were pretty fucking great. No one would watch Famous House for three weeks, I'm sorry. That shit would have been boring. They couldn't have kept that together for three weeks. Also friends and family figure it out and force them to rugpull cast from the show. People find out. Also edgy Big Brother? Is that what we've been watching? I don't think Big Brother would ever get NEAR the point of a lispy Indian man breaking a bowl and screaming HOW CAN YOU SLAP while threatening to bring a man close to the point of death and circling him while the giant fat man cackles with his 911 back tattoo fully exposed.
It's just not Big Brother. It's a fucked up circus full of people that want to make $50k+. Some people really will endure anything to make it, others won't and go home. That's the show.
I don't know about everyone else, but this season feels especially gross to me. I really hate that they tricked the fish into paying for Frank to leave when he obviously wanted off after getting more physical abuse than all the other seasons combined. Shady as shit if you ask me.
Many of my recordings are 8 hours long, so I can't find it. It was either today or yesterday, but they (Sam, Jet and Ben, I think it was) were sitting around talking about how they had Frank stealing Fishbucks so that when the contestants left they wouldn't have to pay people on their way out.
They are avaricious af. They are pushing people as far as they can, and they do this every time; the difference is that they're doing it in a million-dollar house this time. Last time, it was in the woods, and I guess that was okay somehow. And maybe one time, people were in squidgames outfits, and that was more acceptable? I don't know. I always laugh when Jet comes out, and he talks about how people need to buy merch because they don't make money on the merch. The blanks for the hoodies I think he said were $35, but they cost $68. So they are making something on each, it's not a charity, Jet. He was going on about how they have mortgages and bills in his silly $800 boots, and I know everyone is always like "IT'S A BIT!" but hey, whatever.
And they want the fish to keep cleaning the house and gathering the balls so they can throw them back out there and make $25 each time they do their Ball Brothers bit. And they will, because the fish and the freeloaders want to get paid. This is the biggest thing any of them have going for them right now, except for Burt. Burt is an anomaly. And we'll keep watching, because it's something to do. It breaks up the monotony.
