I think he (and the other two) are trying to find a way to avoid the accusations based towards them by crying that that it "retraumatizes" them. Because if they adress them, then people would wonder what the basis of these accusations actually are and then they'd have to admit that it's their own words, or outright lie and hope they're not caught with doing so.

In looking at the pictures of Elliot the Rapist's and his spouse at their apparent wedding, I started thinking about the weddings I've attended and how the ceremony and pomp cause such amazing transformations for brides.

Nice hair, nice make-up, and a nice dress go a long way, but when those factors are united with a woman who is exuding joy and love, who is full of confidence and next to the one she loves, and who is surrounded by her friends and family? Magic happens, and I love seeing it!

Regardless of her normal appearance or "level of attractiveness", every woman is beautiful at that moment. It's one of the loveliest moments of humanity to see, especially when you see the bride realising the beauty she's always had reflected back at her in her husband's eyes. (I suppose that sort of sentimentality that is probably why I'm a wedding crier.)
