A large part of the deportation fiasco could have been avoided if they were honest and let people know they fucked up and had just not got around to Nina's immigration application and the process it entails.

Anyway the wiki idea doesn't seem to be a go either so it will have to do.

Perhaps the infodump thread could be worked on and stickied/pinned, posting limited to approved submitters to make sure it just keeps to the important facts?

Having the same info on the wiki as well would be good, but it needs to be here too: for people who are coming here a bit nervous about what the site's all about, immediately being sent off to a different site might be offputting enough to make them just close their browser altogether. Make the actual facts and information as accessible and newbie-friendly as possible. Also make sure it's easily accessible no matter where on the site newcomers land, rather than them having to hunt for this subsection to find it.

It's gotta be hard to break free. We've discussed before the cult-like mentality of the rat king members. Most are either marginalized due to genuine transgender issues or because they are like Fire and are deeply mentally ill. People like Greta provide a sense of safety and belonging, but like any good cult leader, from Stalin down to Manson, she can tolerate no dissent. You question her and you have less power than she does and she will exile you and smear you as well as she can as she does it. She'll cut off your access to friends and community. If you've been in exile already because of religious families or conservative communities, you fear exile worse than anything. Greta gets away with what she does not because she is clever or competent, but because she has enough charisma to hook people in and more than enough cruelty and megalomania to do whatever she can to scare people into obedience to her will.

That's why it's all the more remarkable and noteworthy when someone does decide to leave the closed ranks and discuss wrong-doing. They are risking a lot. They will lose friendships if discovered. They will have entire avenues of communion cut off. I hope Greta's hangers on who come to revel in the wickedness of KF realize this: when one of your own decides to defy Greta, even hoping for anonymity, they are taking huge risks. People don't take huge risks that can destroy them socially unless they feel compelled to do it because of ethics, morality or fear of greater harm if they remain silent. Speaking out against Greta bears great social costs for those who risk it.

I agree completely. We've seen just how vicious these screeching harpies can be if the way they ganged up on @Manapan was any indication. The fact that Greta also makes, erm, "house calls" is especially disconcerting. She's the only cow that I'd consider dangerous.

I think we've been giving them too much credit when they talk about salary. They probably just take money directly from TLL and don't give a damn about going through anything resembling proper channels. It's part of what makes TLL so shady to begin with. On the plus side, if they do continue to make statements on twitter about salary, it will look bad and might even cause ICE or whoever is responsible to look into TLL and realize just how shady it is as a "charity".

Basically, I think if ICE does any investigation at all, Greta and Pajeet are fucked. Hell, they might not even have to investigate at all, since Greta is dumb enough to air all of his dirty laundry out in the open. Maybe just someone in their social circle, I could have sworn I've seen some of their friends posting the salary thing after we've accused TLL of being a total sham.
