I don't think Rekeita is lying about the narcolepsy, because you have to have a proper, overnight sleep study to get diagnosed with it. The doctors can see the brain waves and shit, and it's something you can't actually fake. It's not a take-home test like apnea, and it's not something you can lie about like ADHD.

His weird streaming times also line up with someone who has narcolepsy, and isn't getting it treated very successfully. Even his weird habit of standing to stream would make sense, if he has it and has restless leg because of it.

I think what Nick fears most is not being in control of the NARRATIVE. It's like when he had his falling out with Null. Nick didn't want it out there that he was trying to get his thread censored. That's why he never explicitly asked for that, while heavily implying it with every word. When everyone saw through this ruse and came to the conclusion that, yeah, he was being a little bitch and wanted his thread censored, he got incredibly angry. That stream with SEAN where he keeps yelling SEAN! SEAN! SEAN! is one of the few times I've seen him actually lose his cool and drop his smug, above-it-all manipulator persona. It's doable, but not nearly as common because the high isn't as pleasant.

I would propose, though, that if Nick is abusing a gabapentinoid then it's more likely to be phenibut (or a derivative like 4-flourophenibut), since someone mentioned him abusing kratom. The two go together pretty often, and phenibut at least used to be relatively cheap in large quantities, with several hundred grams costing less than $100. A gram or two makes you relaxed and has mild stimulant effects, while any more than that will have you completely fucked up. Falling asleep standing up, rambling about a topic you keep forgetting, etc. It's also a drug that only shows up on tests for gabapentinoids, which most standard screenings don't look for.
