Jesse's job was mainly to run the podcast itself, the audio, uploading it, dealing with the paycucks etc.

While ON the show his job was to hit the funny buttons; "I'm Jewish" drops or make parody songs. For a time it worked, it was genuinely funny, peak was probably right before Trump got elected until about 2018 or 19 or so.

However, Jesse has always gotten shit for interrupting, because he never contributed anything (occasionally it was a funny remark, but rare) he at first took it in stride, there was an early joke along the lines of "Mike, I love catching you on the show. Sven? Not so much..." and Jesse ran with it, but at some point he got legitimately offended by it and being called out.

Jesse went off the rails about the time COVID hit, he would have regular freakouts and berate the audience, the "joke" was "contempt for the audience" but it's not a joke. Jesse hates the audience, Jesse hates everybody, he's an asshole. Mike used to tard wrangle him, but not anymore.
