TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

He didn't but I think Doug just wanted to change it up since almost everything he covered this month is more positive
I wish Doug would sometimes do more horror NC episodes. As cringe and even autistic as the skits can be at times I find them a little charming. Almost like seeing little kids having fun playing with their action figures using their imagination. It's endearing and fun to see someone actually enjoying what they do. I really enjoyed the "Devil" video with the skit in the elevator with Rita Repulsa, Santa Christ, and Black Devil. Though Tamara isn't really as fun (or as eye candy) as Rachel I think she's come into her own, even though I didn't ever really care for Hyper Fan Girl.
That said he could do skits involving Nightmare on Elm Street or Evil Dead in NC episodes on those films, or at least they would have been really fun to see in the past.
I'm trying hard not to address the fact that Doug may just be getting too old for and uninterested in doing skits anymore.

Doug could probably get some good mileage out of revisiting movies he’s reviewed before, i really enjoyed this week’s video.
A nostalgia critic series on nostalgia critic episodes?
Fuck it sign me up.
Though I might catch the feels seeing him react to his old stuff. Like watching an old man tear up watching old home videos.

It’d be an interesting companion too. His early stuff was definitely more “using the bad movie to just make jokes and funny observations” rather than actually reviewing the film, which he’s been trying to do with his later stuff.

The movie itself was years late from what I heard. I don't think we can blame Doug too much for being thematic and being a little bit late to the party himself.
If Im not mistaken, it was said this movie was supposed to come out originally when BL2 was gonna hit the shelves, but shit went haywire and it gor shelved.

BLII came out 12 years ago. If it's been that long that it was supposed to come out but never did it's never a good sign.

It was like the movie for "Doom" was originally supposed to come out after Doom II came out and Arnold was supposed to play the main character of Doom Guy before they gave him a name. By the time it came out, the game was already 11 years old. So this seems to be a trend.

Happy Birthday, Doug.
