That clearly wasn't a nuke though. If it was that missile they put some kind of goofy non-nuclear warhead/RVs on it.
They're conventional HE warheads as use on the Iskander missile but the missile being 25 times the cost of a Iskander.

If not an ICBM, it's likely to be an IRBM [intermediate range ballistic missile] or a SRBM [short range ballistic missile].

Is this my turn to start bitching about wasted tax money?

But apparently, another launch from the same area has been detected.

Edit: IT DISAPPEARED FROM RADARS.
USA doesn't watch launches like this with Radars. It detects the thermal plume at the launch site and then extrapolates based on movement where the missile is going. It will dissappear from thermal as it hits orbit and begins its terminal phase.

Radar picks it up later as the delivery vehicles angles back in to hit the target. So it didn't dissappear from radar. It never was on radar. It disappeared from thermal detection.

One of the moments where "ACKSHUALLY" is warranted. Yes, I used a retarded figure of speech, thank you for correcting me.

It's not wasted, it's spent on collective security of all Russians, instead of creature comforts for degenerate liberals.

How much Soviet legacy are they eating up in all of this
All of it tbqh. They are starting to get down to the scrap metal tier tanks that have been rotting in fields. As for the Ammo stockpiles, well they North Korean ammo now. So yeah.

Ths real damage though is the demonstration of just how superior NATO kit is over Russian. Their MICs foreign sales are never going to recover from this, and that was one of Russias few major exports outside natural resources.

>Blowing your Intercontinental Missiles on the same continent
Bruh, this isn't a statement of strength. Looks like the new cope will "true power unleashed" but what I'm seeing is another dead cat bounce.
All the western coverage I see is people losing their minds over "ICBM's" and talking about escalation. Doesn't seem much different from the previous missile attacks to me, except for the fact that it's more expensive. It was probably aimed to generate spooky headlines in western media and to reassure assorted ziggers.
They literally took nuclear-capable platform and wasted it to lob conventional warheads over the land border.

The soy Western "heckin' nuclear escalationerino" vs the chad Russian taxpayer.

But nobody believes Russia wants too, so it's meaningless posturing.
These things are very effective against unworthy politicians (the type who does not want to take risks at any cost) and the primed portions of the Western electorate. All the 5th colon blue checkmarks are squealing about WW III to their cattle, who in turn demand politicians act on their totally organic and well informed fears, and many are perfectly happy to run on that sentiment, wherever it comes from and whatever harm basing policy on it will cause.

Putin put out some gay message regarding the strike, patting himself on the back and all that
Made some hilarious points, such as "usage of foreign weapons is impossible without foreign specialists present" in order to justify nork presence. I hope he sticks to that if suddenly thousands of NATO specialists openly arrive in Ukraine.
It's pure lunacy. Someone will post it with proper translation eventually, I can't be arsed right now.
