I don't think that's the case, "less ethical"? They're both equally as unethical, just because one likes to cosplay as a cow (or whatever) it does not mean anything beyond the act of consuming animal products, which are both doing. Only if the furry claims to be better to the animals, when they aren't, then they'd be more hypocritical on that aspect, based on that statement.

Maybe they're more stupid, if they actually believe they "love" chickens and then they go to KFC, but then again even "normies" (as you've called them) do that. I don't see this impacting the ethics of it, they're both the same.

Just to end, I myself follow a vegan diet, I don't see how furries should be going vegan more than others, unless they're being hypocritical about it (like by claiming they're better), but in such case, it would be more so that they stop being retarded (if they just like cosplaying like many furries do, then that is inconsequential for this moral argument). I.e: I don't see a heavier moral imperative for a random furry to become vegan.

Perhaps I take it more seriously than others do, I didn't consider many might just be cosplaying as some animal and actually don't care about animal welfare. It seems weird to me they could identify with a species and not have an increased level of empathy for animals as a whole.
