I got the jew blood, therefore I have jew friends/fam just from growing up.
I'm actually really boring and don't give af about the conflict. I'm just an American with jew blood. I don't practice.
However, all my jewish family/friends-- despite not having direct relation to the Oct 7th attacks-- will not stop talking about how traumatized they are about it. Every. Fucking. Day.
Many have made themselves go to these US tours of some memorial and torture themselves about it then vent to me about how 'cathartic' it is to go to these things. I told them I will not go because I feel like it's encouraging a cycle of misery. I don't see a reason to go when I have already seen much of the footage and I already know it was bad.
Passive-agressively I've been told I 'have' to go.
I'm not saying Oct 7th wasn't horrible, I just don't see the reason for my entire life revolve around it and now I'm getting shit for it.
Is this 'normal' for all American jews now? It feels like perpetual victimhood and I am almost becoming a self-hating jew because of it. I don't even know how to talk to my fellow jews anymore without this shit coming up. I'm avoiding talking to one of my closest friends because her brain LIVES in October 2023.
Or am I just a nihilistic asshole? I don't want to be one.
I know this is sort of a power level but I legit don't know where else to even talk about this without getting shit for it.

I am a Celtic Tribalist specifically. I practice classical European-style racism. That kind of racism is unfortunately a type of luxury we cannot afford at the moment. There is no "we Christians are an exclusive club, who all others exist to serve, and we will do anything to service ourselves at the expense of all other" like the entirety of judaism is based around. The worst offenders are 'ex'-liberals who claim to now be center-right due to the 'left abandoning jews' but not all of them. My very conservative friends/fam are out for blood too, but it's still in misery state. ok that's really funny you said that. I JUST told my spouse that my friend's texts were on par with schizo rambling. One of my friends thinks she's going to be killed by Muslims for being Jewish. Yes, it happens but I don't think in her little suburb she's going to have a Muslim drive from the slums and stab her for being Jewish.
