I don't see Trump rolling over on RFK or Gabbard, their support was vital in winning. This is why I think Gaetz was kind of the sacrificial lamb in some ways. Even with all the bullshit and all the supposed baggage he carried he was off 1 vote. I think if RFK and Gabbard go through the process they will pick off one of the Gaetz holdouts and Vance will break the tie.

Yeah, tbh I have sympathy for Mike Johnson. He was the one left holding the bag after McCarthy got booted and nobody could decide who would be speaker. He's had fuckups, but for a literal who, he's aight.

It is almost certain that RFK's votes got Trump the comfortable win (and possibly the win, period). What he brings to the MAGA coalition is needed to oust these old crusty neo-con rinos. As much as I like Gaetz, the truth is RFK is the lynchpin to making MAGA dominant in the Republican party and giving it life after Trump. I never really see RFK leading after Don, but he brings so much support he must be treated right.

Additionally treating RFK right would be a constant drain on the Democrats chances of winning back the socially liberal but not woke, economically left leaning individual (I'm thinking people like Bret Weinstein, Joe Rogan and Bridget Phetasy types). You want the rinos and the democrats out, you need these people in.

I agree. I can speak anecdotally but I know quite a few people who voted Trump specifically because RFK endorsed him and went to stump for him. I don't think his influence can ever be overstated. It's crazy to say, especially looking back to only a year or two ago, that RFK and how he is handled in this Administration is integral to the longevity of the Movement beyond Trump. How he and Tulsi go will determine whether MAGA ends with Trump and the Uniparty permalosers take back control of the Party or whether MAGA will fully supplant the GOP.

If Trump doesn't fight like hell for him, publicly and loudly, then it's fair to start really looking with new eyes on the Administration.

If RFK. Jr. was given any sort of regulatory power, it'd lead to American pharmaceutical giants (and all their research) fleeing the country, routine childhood vaccinations banned, & everyone stuck treating diphtheria with silver iodine drops & bleach enemas.

Put the senate on recess and ram his selections through. Clinton, Dubya, and Obama all did it a number of times. it's only fair.

I don't see Trump rolling over on anyone and I also wouldn't believe republican senators saying they won't approve until it actually happens on the senate floor they always love to talk a big game and do nothing.

I fully believe either Gaetz flat out got cold feet or Trump just decided Bondi as AG and Gaetz back in the house/moved to senate is better. Trump is ready to ram his selections through and if we see who is rumored as FBI and some other positions then there is no other way to get them through.

You can't put the senate in recess unless the senate (or house) votes to recess. Why would the controlled senators that are blocking his nominees vote to recess so he can get his nominees through?

I'd really like to actually hear SOMETHING from Bondi, because I really don't have much faith. AG is going to need to be one of the strongest positions in this admin if anything is going to work. Gaetz didn't just say the right things, he had cause to ruin these fuckers. Imagine a guy who actually puts alphabet boys' heads on pikes? Mere talk isn't enough, Gaetz should have been forced through, because I can't help but feel that Bondi won't be enough. Does she actually have the will to hunt down ATF agents and other glowies? I'm just not sure.

Crazy ass twitter thread about the Matt Gaetz allegations. No idea how legit the OP is, but I knew bits and pieces of the whole story and this connects a ton of dots. That schizo “MY DAD’S BEING EXTORTED” Gaetz interview on Tucker Carlson actually makes perfect sense now.
Still doesn’t explain why Gaetz is suddenly bailing, because the full story doesn’t make anything sound worse than what we knew ages ago. The 17 year old’s fake ID being an actual honest-to-God valid Florida ID plus the supposed Iran/Israel connection is wild though.
