Yeah; however the left conveniently forgets that Bill Clinton's presidency was quite centrist. Clinton worked with Republicans across the aisle to cut government spending/cut welfare, pushed broken windows-style anti-crime legislation, etc.

Modern Republicans (and certainly modern Democrats) are probably less likely to work with the opposing party to get sh!t done.
We would be in a better place if democrats kept with "the era of big government is over" idea that Bill Clinton started. The 16 years of the Bush-Obama era is where this country really started going off the deep end. The surveillance state expansion, banks reverted to become unchecked, senate majority and house rule changes were some of the worst reforms imaginable.

The main issue with modern technology is that we have so many electronic based systems. A nuke-pumped EMP has enough energy to literally make the wires in your graphic card melt and the expansion of the metal in a circuit board can make it pop right off the board, totally scuttling the entire thing. There's no repairing any of it, it's all just useless trash instantly. So it all has to be replaced, which means months of waiting for ships from China to bring in replacements. So no communications system, no electricity, no computers, no internet, for months or years on end.
Bonus thought: You're assuming China will be available -- or willing -- to bring in replacements. They could just say "lol good luck" and since we destroyed our manufacturing capability, well.. How long do you think it would take zoomers to reinvent transformers, circuit boards, industrial generators, etc etc? Even with the last remaining competent people from the previous generations helping?

I mean 0 infrastructure to working power substations, how many years is that? How many decades?

All while every dindu in the country is chimping out because their EBT card isn't working, killing everyone stupid enough to try and help and not shelter in place or flee the urban areas as best as possible.

Duh...?
FYI, Linda McMahon has previously been involved in trump's cabinet in his previous term, she has been the admin of the Small Business Administration (SBA) from 2017-2019, so her being with him again isn't that surprising, but what is surprising she got assigned to education of all places, she has no prior history in being involved in this field at all.

Are they assigning people more for loyalty to Trump, and not on actual merit?

This administration is filled to the brim with former liberals who have seen where the left is now and gone fuck that shit. I'm not going to doom over one more of them in his admin.
Trump is putting people where there strengths lie. He's putting a money man in the Treasury. I'm pretty sure people that high up in the money world know Soros's phone number, even if they say otherwise, because bankers are incestuous

There's always going to be some give and take, it's politics after all. Trump is not a dictator who can just strongman his way into what he wants to do. Some choices will be great, some will be good and some we will just have to accept as a price of doing business. Hopefully we get much more of the former and few of the latter but as long as the right people are in the right places we can finally get some progress in the West.

Oddly though da Joos overwhelming voted for Harris so I would have no clue why Trump would feel beholden to them.

Trump apparently wants to hire Scott Bessent to be Secretary of the Treasury. Per WSJ.

He's gay. He's adjacent to Soros too. Probably a zionist as well.
I Don't Know What I Expected.

edit: I'm more concerned about the Soros connection than him being gay. He used to work for Soros and then got a $2 billion anchor investment from him for his investment firm.

Y'all tired of winning fellas? :shit-eating:

Y'all tired of winning fellas? :shit-eating:

I am tired of you. You will never be Hollywood Hulk Hogan. You are not a real american, you have no 2014 join date, you have no legion of butthurt conservatives united in a clique over your annoyances. You are just a leaf nigger twisted into a mockery of the platonic ideal of TDS.

I can’t see why Musk would want MSNBC. It’s a situation where the only theoretical value is the brand but also the brand is trash and he would want to change it to “X News” or something anyway.

It makes even less sense considering that the younger generation doesn't watch news networks, to begin with. He's already got the perfect platform to push right-wing talking points to the youth voter demographic. Why waste even more money?

Trump dropped three nominations for Labor, Treasury, and OMB. The labor one made the Teamster guy super happy:

Several very rich and powerful Jews backed Trump this time. Not all of them. But enough. Also he has bloodline ties via his grandchildren.

Jews switched to "use all our might to push D" to "we support D but Trump is ok too" with a few outright backing Trump and countering some of the jewry going on.

Maybe i am not looking but the usual left wing jew suspects are quieter than you would expect and seem to be lambasting the D for too far left. They view this as a chance to tardwrangle some of the Ds and Trump will obey his aipac handler so its fine for 4 years. The tell will be when "centrist candidates" (that love Israel!) get major backing against left wing ones in the mid year primaries.

Anyone who cant see that October 7th was a turning point in how the elites were deciding on Trump was allowed back werent paying attention. I am not saying they "backed him" but they were clearly aligned against him in 2020 and were caught by surprise in 2016. 2024 they were in disagreement and not aligned.

And prosecutors can argue that self-defense claims are unjustified, you dumbass. That's my point, which you seem intellectually incapable of understanding.

In any case, I'm done shitting up the thread arguing a decade-old case with you that has no relevance to any current stories.
You are normally an alright poster but in this you are being unusually bad. But as a courtesy I will explain it to you in a less caustic way than the others. This fella covers the background you have off:
Its hard to argue against it in the circumstances of that incident, and you seem very poorly informed. For example, Zimmerman didn't leave his house to chase Trayon; Zimmerman was on his way home when he called in to the police, and got out of his truck to read the street signs to give his location, and was attacked on the way back to his truck. Further, as you've been told, the affirmative defense of self-defense applies to Manslaughter and a host of other charges.

You don't seem to have a grasp of the facts at hand, the specific Florida statutes, or common law.
But he leaves out what an Affirmative Defense is.

An Affirmative Defense is a defense in which you more or less claim "Yes, I did it. But I had a legally acknowledged reason". Importantly, this defense must be determined -before- any consideration of specific crime. Whether it be murder or manslaughter is -irrelevant- at the stage of determining if an Affirmative Defense is correct. Self-Defense is an affirmative defense, as soon as he claimed it, it became the duty of the prosecutor to convince the jury that the case was -not- self-defense. And he failed at that hurdle.

What the charge was is -irrelevant-, at no point did the case even get to the point of it being relevant because the Jury found that Zimmerman had acted in self defense, a defense which precedes and overrides the charge.

While you are technically right in that Manslaughter has a lower legal burden to murder, where you err is in thinking it even matters to this case.

Bessent has openly talked about how Soros tactics work and conservatives need to copy them when it comes to funding down ballot and local races and he is also pro crypto bigtime. People too scared of the name "Soros"

He has even talked about how Soros understands the system and abuses it to do what he does. Also a huge deregulation guy and has actually put his money where his mouth is in donating to down ballot races.

Russell Vought for OMB that is a pretty giga loyalist in probably a top 3 most important spot.
Thing is LEARNING from Soros and using his knowledge is not a bad thing. He left a long time ago. Why? Was there a falling out maybe? In any case, putting him in charge of the treasury ain't bad. Soros is evil but he knows how to make money. Exploit that.
I swear some people just see the name Soros and immediately start yapping. Soros has his fingers in almost every investing pie. You don't operate in finance without operating alongside him. What is important to look for is what exactly he worked on him with, what he took away from that work, and how he views Soros himself. In Bessent's case the answers are, generic investing, that utilizing money the way Soros does is something the right should do, and that Soros himself is a decrepit evil lich.

Admit it guys. You love Jews.

Would a falling out give you a 2B investment to kick start your own hedge fund?
He was a bigtime proven finance guy at that point so getting 2 billion in seed money for a hedge fund is easy. He also 2.5x and returned it back to Soros so it's kind of whatever at this point.

Bessent has been on the Trump train since 2016, raised hundreds of millions for Trump and has done hundreds of podcasts/MSM talking about exactly what he wants to do and it's right in line with Trump/Lutnick and co.

This thread for the last few days:

If anxiety was a sport, this thread would win gold in the olympics.
Shits wild "AAAAHHHHHHHH JEB LIKES THE PICK" "DA JEWSSSSSSSS" "THEY DIDNT SUPPORT TRUMP SINCE BIRTH"

The world has changed ALOT since 2020 and immeasurably since 2016 in every way but especially from a political perspective and you are seeing the biggest realignment in history or at least in the last few generations.

Vought did the Tucker podcast recently it's a good listen. Insane how hard it is to fire some govt workers with current law. He is also the guy Bernie had a meltdown over in Trumps first term about his faith during his confirmation and one of the Project 2025 guys.

Bessent having dealing with Soros just means he plays in the same circles. As Carlin said its a small fucking club and this just means Bessent was in it not that he agreed with Soros.

If you thought you were getting back on the gold standard and end the fed with Trump you were retarded. Trump also wants to see line go up. He's a Caesar. He comes from that group. He also understands the lower castes have to keep their stake in the game unlike our current crop.

Those who said Trump was the olive branch. Believe in what you said. Hes not a revolutionary person, he is a reform candidate at best. Trump wants to go back to the 90s while ignoring the conditions of the 90s created current world.
