There’s this tweet I keep seeing discourse about on my timeline about a very visibly MTF trans character in some sort of visual novel mobile game:

And the reception is very mixed. Many trans people are offended because they see the character as a stereotype. Even if it is, it’s not a negative one. Also, it’s completely true. This is the average “passoid” twitter AGP.

They genuinely don’t even know what they’re mad about. It’s not an offensive caricature at all.

No, mascapililas, an objectively correct and not offensive in any real way stereotype of most chronically online “passoid” MTFs is not comparable to very intentionally racist black caricatures.

some are jealous of the fact that pixels pass more than them (but also offended).

Do people actually live like this?
Others are complaining that the character’s face is too masculine, and pointing out the stubble/5 o’clock shadow on its face but… I really don’t see it. I genuinely think they’re dreaming it up. Also goes to show how deep they are in la-la land that they genuinely don’t believe sexual dimorphism is real. Males have male faces. Males grow facial hair. It would be realistic for the MTF character to look a bit masculine. It’s not a transphobic caricature to design an MTF character with a male face, it’s reality.

Also kind of interesting/funny how the character is instantly clockable even minus the trans flag phone case. Even if it weren’t for the male face. Women don’t dress like that. It’s funny how a lot of MTFs don’t know that you can tell the cisness of a woman based on fashion alone. Women aren’t obsessed with the ”shark plushie from a company founded by a nazi”.
