Season 1 of Fishtank has a vibe that is totally unmatched in the series. I don't really know how to describe it, comfy isn't really the right word but it just feels good rewatching it.

I quite like to lo-fi and DIY feel of it. I kind of like how the cameras and audio was kind of shit quality. It was sort of like a mix of Kenny V Spenny and playing Manhunt.

I like how the challenges and activities are very makeshift and they make do with what they have in the house. It's kind of refreshing as all reality tv or so fake and polished.

Also somebody mentioned production having a chef for S2.5. Little known fact. Remember how the days before the finale where was basically no NPCs present? That fucking guy (his IG; he also appeared sometimes as a NPC) apparently gave the entire production food poisoning around 4th of July so everyone got sick in the days before the finale. I honestly don't know how wiggers manage to fuck even such simple things so consistently. It has to be part-deliberate self-sabotage at this point.
Then I stand corrected. This is why taking shortcuts ends up being expensive. If I had hundreds of thousands of dollar on the line. I definitely wouldn't be fucking around with food.

It very likely isn't self-sabotage, it is probably just that they have no real world experience working for big productions or in a similar industry. They could probably hire someone from the events industry or whatever to help out with shit like this who has some experience and it would help a lot with shit and make their lives easier - or they could keep trying to make shortcuts and fuck themselves over and learn all the same mistakes in the long run. The unfortunate thing though is that a lot of shit costs a lot of money to do properly and they either do not have the money to put down or don't want to spend that much - when you start adding on big expenses none of it may make financial sense anymore.

Said since S1 they need to just get a food delivery meal service like how old people and disables get.
It may be slop but its still better than just eating popcorn and burgers every day.
Naw nigga. You literally just pick up the phone and call local restaurants, especially those that cater to weddings and events and tell them "I need a quote for 50pax, we need breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, budget is $/day, can you make this work? give us a sample menu and do a sample set up". A lot of those type of restaurants will make really good food for you and can make budgets work.

By comparison "food delivery meal services" will provide shit quality food that comes in fucking boxes

why is she sleeping like this when there is a couch and bed this can not be comfortable

The fish being responsible for their own meals is cheaper, adds pressure [and ammo], creates content and interpersonal dynamics, and gives production room for implementing food based rewards or coddling where necessary. I swear even Big Brother makes their players cook don't they? I know I've seen clips around cooking and food at least. I do wonder how much the wiggers are burning on delivery for themselves instead of catering though, I know they aren't cooking in that basement.

That said, they could use catering to make food part of the game more directly, with the catering serving basic food and better meals [what the crew would be eating] that are won or bought somehow. I think something like that was the original intention of S2's grits diet that ended up badly slowing the fish. A more successful example of that idea was that Sidemen week long reality show "Inside" where getting access to better [or at least tastier than rice and beans] food meant burning the final prize pool dollar for dollar [they also used delivery rewards for challenges IIRC], food ended up being a primary source of drama because of that.

This has been the most boring couple of days in Fishtank history. Hopefully it was all worth it.
I feel like that's not true. Season 2 had so much boring downtime for no reason whatsoever. Season 1 had some boring days as well.
With the remodeling it at least feels purposeful and gives the fish downtime, so they might be less exhausted for the last two weeks. Even if they don't deliver, it still wouldn't be worse than season 2.
I'm not a season 2 hater, but it really wasn't great to actually watch live. The recaps where fun though!
