"What do you do?"
"I do it all."

Adult Swim has been around for over 20 years. During that time they produced many shows that have become celebrated or cult classics. One of these shows is more divisive than the others. A program that could be produced with only 20 dollars and some paper from the copier. An art style reminiscent of childhood doodles. And a premise that is as incongruous as the inception of Adult Swim itself.

That show, is none other than 12 Oz. Mouse.

And this thread is dedicated to discussion of 12 Oz Mouse, a series that truly could not be made today.

Some clips:

If you want to watch every episode of 12 Oz. Mouse, the "Movie" version (every episode of Seasons One and Two put together) has been uploaded on Odysee.

There are a total of three seasons. I haven't watched it all though.

The Jazz Theme by Matt Geier has to be one of my favorite songs.

"Are you drunk?"
"Not drunk enough."

I've always kind of wanted to go back and collect a bunch of these old shows on blank VHS tapes.

Lazy writing. Lazy animation. The show gave the impression that it was made by a 10 year old who played with G.I. Joe toys who’s parents fed him bottles of Ritalin. I admire the creators of that cartoon show who had the gall to show it to Adult Swim and get paid.
Hello Mr. Enter. I too wish that red fucking panda stopped 9/11!

At risk of sounding like a pretentious faggot (which, don't get me wrong, I absolutely am.), I feel like this is one of those only few shows out there where I can genuinely say that most of the people that don't like it got filtered, usually by the art style, which is not even that bad compared to other shit that Adult Swim or even Cartoon Network have aired, Ozmo isn't even as offensive as shit like Problem Solverz.
I really wish Season 3 hadn't missed the mark with the atmosphere at times, and that it hadn't flopped, killing any chances of any more seasons with it.

Oh Problem Solverz. Just one look at that cartoon makes me throw up a little in my mouth.
And regarding season 3, since I haven't seen it I am wondering if I should just ditch watching it and stick with the 3½ hour movie.

I'd say Season 3 is still worth a watch, if even just to see more of Mouse, it feels more like late season/post-revival Aqua Teen than it does 12oz Mouse at times, but it's alright and has some good concepts, it doesn't ruin the old show the way most revivals would, but it does leave off on a weaker cliffhanger than the original Season 2 one.

Hello Mr. Enter. I too wish that red fucking panda stopped 9/11!

I would like to know more of the development history of this show and why it was made. I think it be more fascinating rather than the show itself. Kind of like the last Scooby-Doo show Velma. I’ve never been a fan of the Scooby franchise but I’ve considered watching Velma because of the shows feminist nut job showrunner and self-insert street shitter Mindy Kaling.

It probably counts as lost media by now, but there was a 15 minute special on Adult Swim showing the 12 oz Mouse team brainstorming an episode. It was made by the same revolving crew of writers that did most of the early Adult Swim shows at the Williams Street Studios. If I remember it correctly, the whole concept was that the mouse had lost his wife and family, and the whole feel was supposed to be like that of being in the mind of an alcoholic on a prolonged bender.
